This evening we got the absolutely nicest meal from East End Tandori ! The onion bajhis was perfect, generous lamb in the madras, delicious sag-aloo and fluffy nanbread . What an amazing improvement since last time ! Maybe a new chef ! We will definitely use them again, 20 minutes delivery time is excellent. Thank you gor a lovely meal From 47
First time customer - Friday takeaway. Pilau rice was on the bland side and unusually small standard portion. The naans were tough and chewy on my order, laboursome, average size and somewhat fluffy, taste ok. Very mediocre basics. The Chicken tikka masala was tasty, good quality, marinaded meat, creamy - decent. However, it did have some small bean type ingredient possibly chick pea which I personally don’t like and rarely see from other places, it didn’t spoil the curry though, easily removed. The Ch-Tikka Vindaloo was OK, nice and spicy, the curry sauce was a bit thick, and bland tasting, decent meat. The curry’s were not over oily, my 5-7 yr kids enjoyed the Tikka Masala and rice but not the naans. Total £32 order, no complimentary poppadoms or salad garnishes, sauces given not marked down for which is usual elsewhere. The standard overall is on par with local competition but there are a couple that I believe are far better. Overall OK on value, and average on quality. Nothing to shout about, clear room for improvements. I actually used this place due to my usual place having delivery issue on the night, using third party app.
The East End Tandoori is a takeaway only establishment. So it's all about the quality of the food and the delivery experience. Fortunately their dishes are excellent. They offer a wide variety on the menu and the curries taste fresh and distinctive. This is why we order from here rather than using local restaurants. However they do seem rather short staffed. So I tend to collect, rather than wait for delivery, and even then I add on 10-15 minutes to the stated collection time. Since this is already built into my expectations I'm not too bothered by any inevitable delays! It's worth it because their food is that tasty.
Love the food!!! They always give a discount online. Portion sizes are good and they give a FREE chicken tikka masala when you order over £20!!Food: 5/5
Over an hour late delivery with no updates and no one answering the phone so we had an incredibly late dinner and when the food did arrive it was bland yet incredibly spicy and lukewarm. Really disappointed and won’t be ordering again.Food: 2/5
Don't order from here, bunch of amateurs need to be closed down, they don't answer the phone for delivery and takes hours, all the previous reviews are true, do not order from here.Food: 1/5
It’s ok. Delivery for me wasn’t too bad 45 minutes but I live 30 seconds away. The food itself was bland. The breads came burnt and were blackened and crispy. Wouldn’t go back in a rush.
Wow ! I must congratulate you on the 3.1 star reviews thus far.. the meal you have just charged me £38 for was not only utterly appalling, but as far removed from a Prawn Tika Masala & Chicken Jalfrezi as you could possibly get. THE FOOD WAS DISGUSTING !! Straight in the bin & we're just out the door to buy an alternative meal from a real restaurant - Shameful Whoever has reviewed you before om Google - has clearly not had the misfortune to sample on of these standardised set meal options. In addition to the taste, you may wish to educate yourselves on the difference between shrimp & Prawn
Ordered from East End Tandoori last week having not had their food for a long time. We used to love the food and be happy with the service but this time it was just appalling. They delivered the food 1hr after their latest delivery estimate and didn’t answer the phone the many times I called for an update on timing. We were eating a different meal when the food finally arrived, with barely an acknowledgement it was so late. When I finally got through to them to complain about the service, the man was very rude and said he would only consider issuing a refund if we returned the food. It was subsequently collected from our doorstep and they still didn’t refund the order money. In the end we got a voucher from Just Eat to cover the cost. I will not be ordering from them again - appalling customer service!
If you want to sit on the toilet all night this is the place to go.. lamb tasted like beef dog food. Naan were like biscuits. Super noodles were okay amd chips were just about safe. Please avoid in safety of your toilet
