Great place for a walk, nice wide flat path round the first lake and for a longer walk to the second lake. Great cafe, good selection of food and drinks. Friendly staff serving at the cafe.
Very relaxing atmosphere. One can enjoy a leisurely walk while enjoying the lakes and the swans, ducks, coots, and other birds in the lakes. It's also a nice place to set up a tent or a picnic and enjoy the greenery. There's a cafe nearby serving snacks, drinks, and bird food. The toilets are small and smelly! The car park has quite decent free, but limited parking. So it may take a bit of luck to find parking during the holidays!
Earlswood Common is a perfect place to unwind, whether you’re out for a peaceful walk, spotting wildlife, or just enjoying some fresh air. It’s especially lovely in the early morning or at sunset when everything feels calm and unspoiled.
I went to the lake with my children, 5.5 autistic, pre-verbal and 2 years old non-verbal and we managed to go around the lake easily. Unfortunately, we found there aren’t any areas where the kids can run around freely without us worrying they will jump in the lake, but it was easy to hold onto them while we walked around.nnThe path was extremely muddy and it was hard to go over in some areas, so it actually made things quite difficult when I had to carry my 2 year old so he didn’t get stuck and fall in the mud. Would be a little bit better if it was better maintained, but manageable in the end.nnThe carpark had plenty of spaces and it from the moment we stepped out of the car, we were greeted by lots of swans and ducks, and there is a cafe there also.
Visited at the weekend. Onsite park car can be busy at times, toilets, cafe. Nice lakes with swans, ducks, geese and other birds. Walking from the lakes can be very difficult with lots of mud good footwear recommended.
