They don’t deserve 1star, They have Absolutely horrendous service, I strongly advise NOT to register with this dentist. My sister missed one appointment and had to rearrange it due to an important hospital appointment that she had to attend to. Second appointment was made for her to only get a call after a week to be told that her 2nd appointment has been cancelled and she cannot be registered at this dentist. The woman she spoke to the so called receptionist had no manners, she was very rude and wouldn’t let her speak. You will be reported!!
Having spent over 30 minutes on hold since opening, I was greeted with an exceptionally rude female receptionist. Having advised I was in pain and had swelling, I was told to call back tomorrow because the NHS dentist had called in sick! Before I could even reply, the receptionist put the phone down!! Have experienced this myself and reviewed other reviews, it would appear the Practice Manager needs a huge boot up the backside and to educate his/her staff with some basic customer service skills and to empower the word compassion.
Absolute shambles of a practice since covid. They cancelled mine and my children's appointments in October 2020 and I've heard nothing about rearranging another, just an email to say they're working through patients. I rang yesterday to book my child in and was told the lovely dentist we used to have had left and I had to ring back in another 3 months before I could try make another appointment!
So I had my first experience with My Dentist today for a check up as its been long overdue. The receptionist were friendly enough, there was plenty of seating in the waiting room and it was a very clean and well presented establishment. They sent me email and text reminders about the appointment which was great. The dentist I was seen by was called Higor I think, he was really friendly and helpful. He talked me through everything and answered all the questions I had. He showed me things inside my mouth he wanted to check and even showed me the Xrays. I left feeling confident there was no concerns to worry about and an overall pleasant experience.
I had a very positive experience with the staff at My Dentist. The receptionists where polite helpful and full of smiles at all times which helps you to relax. The time I spent with the Dentist was a very nice experience he was very professional and very helpful, which put me at ease as I have a built in fear of Dentist’s. Pleasant experience D. McDonald
This is worst dental practice. You can’t get emergency appointment, because they don’t have any left at 08.10 am. The staff working there are very rude especially on reception who got time for coffee but not for answering phone and chatting with another staff. When you see the dentist will get one answer everything is fine or it’s can’t be fixed or you need go see private dentist. Cancel my appointment with 2 days notice and give me another after 4 months. Worst dentist and staff not any respect whatsoever
The most disgusting dentists I have ever encountered. So rude in every way. Never seen the same dentist twice in the 13 years I have been with them. The last dentist I saw told me he wouldn't start any treatment as he was leaving in 2 weeks. Still waiting 3 months later with a missing filling and 2 very loose front teeth, for another appointment. I am appalled with them and would advise anyone to stay away from this practice.
Absolutely not fit for purpose. My children and I have had a total of 9 appointments cancelled in the last three years. We went over two years without seeing anyone at all due to their staffing issues. I arrived for my appointment one morning to be told that their system was down and “they didn’t think my dentist was coming in”. I’d taken the morning off work for that. Staff parking in the patient car park, all standing outside smoking. One girl turned up and parked in the disabled spot. When her colleague pointed it out her response was “**** it”. Just been phoned again this morning to be told my dentist had left and all our appointments in May had been cancelled. No apology, no offer of alternative appointments. Just told to ring in three months and try to rebook with someone else. I’ve been going to this practice since I was 4 or 5 years old. In the last few years it’s become utterly shambolic. And because NHS dentists are so hard to find, they know there’s nothing you can do about it.
The 1 star is for the receptionist. The dentist was very helpful. I’ve never experienced such service. Never have I ever walked away from any service, especially health care, feeling so anxious. The receptionist had no people skills whatsoever. Being kind does not take much at all. She was rude and her tone of voice was appalling. The dentist however was brilliant so I do apologise for the 1 star. Receptionists are the face of any organisation and this receptionist has unfortunately added to my anxiety.
I rung up yesterday 23/08/2022 to ask for an appointment for an abscess. To be told you don’t have a dentist to replace mine whose left and to ring back at 8am. I said ok but couldn’t understand why I hadn’t been informed I no longer had a dentist. I then ring at 8am to be told that because I haven’t had treatment since 2019, Although I did in 2020 because it’s classed as covid and that I haven’t attended since you opened from covid 18 months ago that according to your guidelines I don’t have a dentist. You also highlighted I had missed a few appointments which I accept but not enough to loose my place. You simply told me this to try and justify your response. I first spoke to a receptionist, but then asked to speak to a manger. The receptionist was rude and confrontational and explained the manger wouldn’t tell me anything she didn’t. I spoke with the manger who explained I had lost my place due to not visiting for more than 2 years and you had been open for 18 months so is should have come. I’d now like to explain my last 18 months. I was pregnant with a daughter who was poorly, after a NICU and hospice stay she passed. I have then during my continued grief had a son with a pregnancy with crippling anxiety who is now 3 months old. So please excuse me if making an appointment in the last 18 months has not been a priority. Both the manager and receptionist need training on care, compassion and customer service. You were both blunt and rude. I get you are under pressure but so is the rest of customer facing jobs. So I write this still in discomfort waiting for 111 to get a dentist to ring me back. Edit. I haven’t been contacted by the practise and I haven’t had an appointment. My appointment was through the 111 service. I would appreciate being called by the manger
