Unfortunately, salt and pepper squid was unseasoned no salt or pepper in the batter Potatoes not fluffy and far to waxy just cooked. Some of the parsnips were raw, even the waitress couldn't cut it, some of the carrots we burnt black. The meat was cooked beautiful, cabbage perfect and gravy was good. Overall disappointed, we eat out often and was hoping to find somewhere decent locally rather than having to travel. We did provide feedback and rather than a oops, sorry we are just getting used the kitchen which we would have a accepted we got fobbed off.
Great pub and diner. Great choice of food. And I'll be over the moon when they bring back pannacotta .Food: 5/5
Have visited the Dusty for years, so thought we would go for dinner to try out after new ownership. The food and wine was lovely! Starters were good, and we both had the Market Fish and Chunky Chips for main, It was lovely and fresh and cooked to perfection. Staff very friendly too. Will definitely be back
Lovely Saturday lunch with friends. The fire was on and it was very cosy. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I was pleased with the menu, something for everyone. We will definitely be back. Vegetarian options: Lovely warm halloumi salad! Parking: Easy to get to and lots of parking Dietary restrictions: One member of the group was GF and was happy with choices
Had a great celebration lunch; pub food freshly cooked and large portions. Service was really friendly and we were in a beautifully sized room with a glowing fire that accommodated our group of 16 really well.Food: 5/5
Ate in this restaurant for years food was excellent but sadly now taken over the food is all frozen I've eaten in restaurants all over essex and the world! The food is terrible quality and very overpriced the moorhen down the road is better now and half the price! Sadly I doubt I will go back now unless the food quality and prices change I think the chef now must be very young with no experience on how to cook a real quality star meal.
Haven't eaten here but stopped off for a bottle of wine big beer garden with loads of seating but I feel the place is missing a trick not having a play area at the bottom of the garden maybe
The experience was great. Food was with very good quality and the staff was very friendly. We didn't have to wait long to get the food. The price is reasonable for the quality of the restaurant.
Great food. Reasonable prices especially for the quality. Great to bring small children too with a playground out he back. Friendly staff. Great service.
Spontaneous toilet stop and drink, ended up having amazing roast dinners. One beef and one pork, what a great find !
