It’s really not like me to post a negative review about anything but felt we needed to share our experience today and warn others. We regularly order chicken and rice from local kebab shops and tonight thought we’d try King Kebab, as it’s local to us and we’ve never seen it on their menu before. What turned up was clearly a microwave pot of pilau rice and maybe four lumps of chicken. This was £11.90 and we’d ordered two so £24. So we called the restaurant to tell them that we weren’t happy with it and after being passed from one person to another, including the manager who just passed the phone to another lady who was very polite but clearly had no say in the managers behaviour, we were told that no alternative or refund would be offered. When we challenged this, the manager became abusive, shouting down the phone. My partner went down to the shop as we weren’t happy with this response and he continued being vile. I could have got over the issue with the food if it wasn’t for the utterly disgraceful behaviour from the manager.
30 min after when the order was supposed to be delivered, I call in to be told that the driver was sleeping. I say it’s ok, just make sure the food isn’t cold. Of course it was cold… I called back in… food cold, pitta was missing and food late 35 min… only to be told a some really rude guy to stop wasting his time and that there is no owner… owner is in holiday forever… I was in absolute shock… and while eating, found 2 full chillies in a wrap… picture attached…
It is now over 2 hours from ordering through their own website! and still no food. Called 35 minutes ago to be told it is on the way. Call again to say they haven’t received the order, to then proceed and read my order out over the phone. Safe to say I cancelled it. Appalling. Will not be ordering again for sure.
Ordered a 12 inch Meat Feast Pizza tonight, with the BBQ sauce base. It was so good, one of the best pizzas I've had in a long while. Delivery guy was really friendly as well.
If you like a surprise when you order food, then this is the place for you. The chef's creative streak must be too strong to stick to the order
One of my favourite stop offs once a week after my days duty. The owner is an absolute gem of a man, always has time to chat with you and has a wealth of history knowledge that will both entertain, and touch the very soul. Food is always fresh, cleanliness is close to godliness as they say!! Thanks for feeding me chaps
had enough of giving my money to this place as one minute its fine the next its like a dogs dinner all piled on top of each other including the salad plus they constantly leaving part of the order out ,its just pure hit and miss these daysFood: 1/5
Just had a large doner & chips . & A grand pizza delivered . Specifically asked for " NO ONION " With the kebab . It came with onion & little salad ! You must read the requirements correctly ! If someone has an allergy, you have to take it seriously ! The kebab , pizza & chips were great ! Shame about the request for no onion . Dietary restrictions: Asked for no onions , but got loads of onions
I had two rubbish kebabs over two weeks which the driver agreed. Over ten years of using them there was no apologyFood: 2/5
Excellent food and service. Great staff with great sense of humour. Don't know what planet the complainers are from. Highly recommended over several years. Number 27Food: 5/5
