Absolutely stunning meal for my birthday yesterday evening. Easily the best curry I've ever had. Everything was incredibly fresh and well cooked. The staff were attentive and very friendly. Will certainly be back soon!
My wife and son aren't adventurous when it comes to eating, so I end up eating in there alone. Having been a frequent visitor to the Brick Lane establishments in my past, The Shaan would give any of those establishments a run for their money. The family that run it are a beautiful family. Weather you're eating by yourself or as a group they always make you feel very welcome. They display deserved awards on their wall and are obviously proud of their fantastic restaurant. A must visit if you like very good Indian food.
Avoid avoid avoid!!! Made an order over the phone only for it to take more than 5 mins to get the address right. Gave the order eventually then asked if I could pay when the food arrived! He didn’t know he would get the boss to call. 10 mins later no call! So I phone back again he said the same again my boss will call! Another 10 mins pass then the boss calls he wants the payment over the phone! Fine no problem so he puts the details in only he puts the details in wrong so payment declined! We get there eventually! He then says it’s an hour wait for food I said come on it’s a Sunday afternoon that’s quite a wait so then it went to 40 mins to 20 mins! So round about 20 mins food turns up but would you believe 2 items are missing so now I’m seriously fed up! So we phone again we had to tell them repeatedly what 2 items it was then they said 10 mins! 15 mins pass no food so we call they said 2-3 mins! 10 mins later it turns up! And now we have 2 lamb curry’s! It was disgusting the lamb you couldn’t even chew and it was covered in oil and there was a grey hair in it! I’m now fuming so I call them and tbh they weren’t interested and the manager hung up! Absolutely vile place and I wouldn’t feed their food to my dogs! I will be keeping on for a refund as I will be naming and shaming over Facebook! And it came to £45 what a joke!!!!!!
Very friendly, clean place has a nice vibe to it with all the colour changing lights. The food was excellent. Eight of us went there to celebrate two birthdays they were accommodating and helpful with choosing mains. Everyone was very happy , definitely will be back for a romantic meal. Highly recommend
Take away only customer, always collect myself. I used to really like this place, but in the last year or two it's become very variable. Sometimes excellent, other times poor not spicy, tough, dry chicken, very floury baji. I have the chicken tikka jalfry and onion baji frequently, so am very aware when it's a disappointing one. Please try and work on the consistency, then you'll be back to the best around!
Waited a long time to get our food. Tiny amounts of pickles and onion salad. Had to chase the staff for our drinks and for the food, the food itself was very middle of the road, there are much better curry houses in Worthing, popodums were burntFood: 3/5
Had a beautiful meal here. Possibly, one of the best dishes I've had in an Indian restaurant. The food was delicious and flavourful but not too hot. The service was incredible. Highly recommended this Worthing gem!!Food: 5/5
