Beautifully cooked steak, full of flavour which melted in the mouth. My husband had Haddock which was a lovely fresh piece of fish. Prices are not cheap but they are fair for main courses, considering the current climate and the fact you get fresh, good quality produce. The newly renovated dining room is modern with a nautical theme. Everything is cool, spacious and welcoming, service was excellent and the dog slept like a baby on the thick tartan carpet. The only thing We weren’t sure about was the tiny tables in the bar. We prefer the old tables… personal preference only. We had a good dining experience and can certainly recommend the Dunmuir Hotel restaurant.
We have had a lovely stay here… 2 nights, room is comfortable and clean…. Very quiet overnight… Good facilities… We’ve just had afternoon tea with a new recipe cake that was absolutely delicious please compliment the chef 2 x JD & coke for a tenner… Excellent value… A really delightful stay and I would definitely recommend
We had dinner in the new bar and grill, food was excellent, fresh produce, well cooked, excellent flavours, beautifully presented and good value. The restaurant has been refurbished to a very high standard, lovely colours, soft furnishings, great lighting and beautiful restrooms, it was a real pleasure to sit in. Excellent service, highly recommend.
This is a lovely hotel in a great location with plenty of safe parking. It's family run with a team that ensures they deliver first class customer service and also offer excellent value for money. We stayed 2 nights in a superior kingsize room on the first floor of the main building which was spotlessly clean and fully met our needs. The breakfast was excellent, lots of choice, freshly cooked and brought to your table. No cheap look-warm buffet. Nothing was too much trouble and there was even a butchers sausage offered for Winston, our wee pug, which went down a treat . The hotel is in close proximity to the town centre, parks and the beach. This was our first visit to the Dunmuir and it most certainly will not be our last.
There has been a major refurbishment at this place since I was last here. It's beautiful inside. We had lunch in the Grill, and it was delicious. Good selection, looked good, but tasted so good. An altogether uplifting experienceService: 5/5
Bottom rooms not so good windows were very difficult to close hinges past their sell by date, shower temperature stuck on hot so just had a bath which was fine. Chap on reception not at all customer friendly. Dog barking right outside my window apparently left in the car while owners went inside.Rooms: 3/5
Another fantastic stay at the dunmuir I cannot speak highly enough of this hotel we always receive such a warm welcome the staff give 100% everytime and nothing is too much trouble, the food was exceptional would definitely recommend, cant wait to come back in March Rooms: 5/5
We slept quite well here, even in a room that overlooks a fairly busy road. Breakfast was fine. Staying here was quite expensive though, given the location and type of hotel.
This was our second visit to dunmuir 1902 we had stayed in room 19 previously and 22 this time,, both times the rooms were exceptional value,, both very clean and spotless bathrooms, the beds are also really comfortable which is important especially for me due to arthritic knees, the staff are very welcoming and happy to help, I was able to have a fan within 20 mins of requesting it,the off road carpark is well maintained and secure , I could go on forever about how lovely this place is from its location to its food , I would give 10 stars all round if it were possible
Really nice hotel. Restaurant and bar have a nice cosy feel. Rooms clean and warm. Would stay again.Rooms: 4/5
