We turned up10mins before the kitchen closed at 6 on a Sunday. Had the best Beef Roast with yorkshire pudding and lovely veg with crispy roast potatoes and mash with tasty beef gravy ...completely home cooked and I said to my mum (who had Gammon and chips ) it's as good as yours!! :-) recommended and great value for money. Good beer selection too!

Visited twice on Sunday afternoons food served till 6pm enjoyed a traditional roast dinner and pint of abbots ale wonderful!

Well this pub been my local for 20 years plus , and let me tell ya there getting it right , six meals all hot and tastey , I was here for there first night and will definitely be eating here again ,,, try it folks good price and good food ,x

I've driven past this lovely looking old place for many years but never actually called in for a drink or food. However, yesterday my wife and I had a couple of hours to kill in the area and so it was the perfect opportunity to call for refreshment. We wish we'd never bothered ! Watery cider, watery diet coke, chipped glass, scruffy beer garden tables, scruffy/weedy car park, filthy entrance porch, smokers by the door, grubby bar and main room, absolutely filthy toilets,...shall I go on ? The only positive is the beautiful old Hall itself ! The landlord is obviously happy to make a living taking money off the 'locals' from the estate across the road rather than cleaning up his act, raising his game and offering a quality establishment worthy of such a good location and wonderful old building. What a shame ! We shall not be going back anytime soon !
