We ordered Made To Measure curtains on the 29th August and actually got a usable pair over two months later on the 7th November. The first pair delivered had very poor stitching along the hem so we took those back. After that our order just seemed to disappear. Dunelm don't answer the phone so I had to go back to the store to chase them up. I got the Made to Measure email address but even that takes about 5 days to get a response from and was no help. We made four visits to the store about 6 hours that we will never get back. Eventually a manager submitted a completely new order which finally turned up and was usable. All in all a complete shambles.
Absolutely thrilled with my Dunelm made to measure curtains from start to finish!nnFrom the very first appointment, Dayle was exceptional. They truly went above and beyond, knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely invested in helping me choose the perfect solution. Nothing was too much trouble, and their advice made the whole process smooth and enjoyable.nnWhen it came to fitting, Darren was flawless. He was incredibly quick yet meticulous, fitting the poles perfectly with outstanding attention to detail. Everything was aligned beautifully, finished cleanly, and done with real professionalism. You could tell he takes great pride in his work.nnThe final result looks stunning and has completely transformed the room. Outstanding service, brilliant craftsmanship, and a fantastic team. Huge thanks to Dayle and Darren. I couldn’t recommend Dunelm’s made to measure service more highly!
Online order for in store collection takes a lot longer than other branches This one I believe takes the longest time to wait for - collection wise.nnInside the store, the check out part on the ground floor is definitely in short of staff, only two in uniforms but they were busy with other stuff instead of focusing on serving the customers in line. With no greetings no 'You're welcome' no eye contact, lack of basic customer service skills. Suggestion: Why not get some self check out tills instead? We the customers don't deserve to be treated by your unhappy and rude staff members who are great at delivering the poor service.nnCafe inside: A total disaster! Very poor customer service received from your staff member. Certainly it's the worst cafe that I've ever been to. Very unwelcoming and certainly unprofessional. We were there at 10 am and waited there for at least 10 minutes in front of the counter to be served. One masculine female staff member was there literally just ignoring us. Until one more customer joined the queue, she then came over to the counter to take our orders but without giving any apologies whatsoever related to having kept us waiting. We had to put up with her moaning about the matcha spoon had gone missing and that her colleague was supposed to be there and that she was busy with this and that and the banging noises from the metal tools, etc. Honestly, we were there to enjoy the food as customers, and not to listen to your staff complains. That's extremely unprofessional. Very limited food and drinks, sandwiches look pathetic. Had a try with their so-called New vanilla matcha latte, but nowhere near as good as any Japanese cafes in West end, which is sad! Thought it was good based on the reviews but it turns out to be the worst one in London. Suggestion: create an app for customers to download to order so we don't have to face your unhappy and rude staff members.
Amazing store, with incredible price for quality. The floor staff are always helpful and 5 star! The cashiers for some reason, here and at other Dunelms I've been to are miserable, and last time I went - he was throwing things around, angry. Shouting at the cashier next to him. Awful. I don't think I can go back because of the checkout. I'll still buy online, however.
We returned a faulty item after only a few days of use, as the bedding split along the seam. When we returned the item with the receipt, the receipt stated that the item was white, when in fact it was blue.nnAfter a great deal of back and forth, the manager was adamant that he would not issue a refund. I had to point out that the barcode number was incorrect, despite being told that the barcode number was the same regardless of colour. I later proved that this was not the case and that there was an error in their system.nnThroughout the interaction, the manager was dismissive and unprofessional. He repeatedly spoke over my wife, did not allow her to speak, and she felt discriminated against because she is a woman. His manner was rude and aggressive, and he stated that he was only refunding us “as a favour,” despite the fault and the system error being clearly proven.nnI will not allow this individual to deter me from purchasing at Dunelm, as my wife and I are big fans of the store. However, we will take the longer route to visit another branch in the future.nnOverall, we found his behaviour highly unprofessional, and I hope this is not how other customers are treated when returning faulty goods.
