Great wee town ,friendly people, good views over the water, But I'm biased i stay here and wouldn't move anywhere else
Nice little Scottish station. Service is adequate but with old rattly noisy diesel stock. Toilets were quite horrible but at least they have them!
Missed my train by a minute so had the pleasure of talking to the friendly barista in the cafe. Friendly chat, nice coffee and tasty rolls. Couldn't ask for more from a small station.

A cold brisk morning in Dumfries with work, had 30 mins to kill so had the pleasure of meeting Danny the Barista in the station cafe.... Excellent service and conversation with a smile and the coffee wasnjust as good... 5 STARS
