A lovely spacious room and comfortable to say the least. My only concern was I had a fall down the first flight of stairs where I hurt my back the staff had no signs out to say they were cleaning the stairs, when I put my foot ot hard metal / plastic edge off I went up in the air the staff were more interested in given off to the young woman who was washing the edging of the stairs.we as 4 were only in and we're heading out for dinner when this accident took place. This was total negligence on the hotels part but I got myself up and went on my way . They were sorry that I had an accident in which they were negligent and since my accident I've emailed them for a response.ive yet to get an proper apologu from this hotel for my accident . I'm not one for claiming against the hotel As i am not but some sort of recompense like a long weekend stay with all the trimmings would do for myself and the ,3 others I was with is all it takes for this to be over .not one owner has phoned me to ask how I was . may be a solicitor would be able to get a response. Enjoy your stay but hopefully you don't come a cropper as you'll never hear from this hotel.
I loved it. Lisa our host/receptionist was tops. She made us feel very welcome and had lots of suggestions to offer. The room was lovely, big, right temperature, nice coffee machine... can't fault the place. Breakfast Veggie fry was lovely too
Excellent location and friendly staff who couldn't be more helpful. Rooms spotless and comfortable Rooms: 5/5
Another hotel in Belfast which has kicked out/ cancelled customers bookings to turn it into a 4* immigration hotel. Disgusting behaviour!
This hotel is closing as they say. We booked several rooms in August but they suddenly canceled our booking in the middle of June. Now it will be extremely hard to find anything affordable in Belfast. Well, if they really closing down that's pity but it will be real shame if they canceled our rooms to raise more money from the room price.
I've stayed in a handful of hotels in Belfast, including some of the well-known "luxury" hotels, and Dukes is easily my favourite, after staying here at least 10 times by now. The staff are friendly in a genuine way and you can tell they help because they want to and not just because it's the job. The rooms are always immaculate, the beds are so comfortable and every time I've been I've felt like my money was well spent, which I can't say about some of the other "luxury" Hotels. I will definitely be returning soon and cannot wait.
100% recommend this hotel. Great location, rates, food, entertainment etc. The staff are top notch. So friendly and welcoming. Will defo go back.
Would love to 'describe my stay', but sadly the hotel considered it acceptable to 'bump' my reservation, claiming they were "overbooked" whatever the hell that means?! - despite having had formal confirmation for TWO MONTHS! This created a huge issue for my trip to the Cookstown 100, my 85 year-old mum for whom the trip to see her Grandson for the first time since lockdown and my family who live in Belfast. Emailed booking.com who were almost useless, emailed the Dukes and didn't even get a response. They simply don't care and I will never use either again. Had to spend considerably more to stay elsewhere because I was booking at short notice.
The employees at the reception were amazing. We had big rooms with a few little things that need repair, but overall still fine. The beds were super comfortable, we slept better than at home. Big bathrooms. Very nice breakfast. We would totally come here again.
Bar Visit Team were lovely & accommodating but their knowledge was a abismal the cocktail list limited The cocktails which at £9 a pop should have been top notch were terrible & my mixed drink was worse again £21 for 2 woeful drinks The fault here clearly lies with management & the lack of training is clearly apparent especially the staff behind the bar which is a shame as on the whole they were a nice bunch. Would I return for drinks Definitely not
