I had a Sunday lunch here. Very good value for money, my lunch was absolutely huge. I had no problems devouring my lunch either I always like a challenge. The pub/hotel was well kept and quite welcoming and clean, the staff were friendly and chatty. I did not stay there
Loved this place. The staff are really friendly and even got up early for us to have breaky half an hour earlier than they normally start. Our room was a good size and was actually a little too warm the first night. Really good value for money too.Rooms: 5/5

Great place with great people. I love Kirkbymoorside! Edit to add: I stopped-in again last night, asking for a big healthy salad…. The did not disappoint!! A double order of the prawn & salmon salad starter was delicious and huge! Just what I wanted. I ate it for breakfast as well! :
Had a great stay at the G&D for our September MX5 Meet. The room was spacious and generally very clean, the water pressure of the shower did let it down slightly as I had to get showered sat on the floor in order to get enough flow going but in all fairness this was at 8am so peak time. The evening meal and breakfast were excellent and the staff were so accommodating. Would definitely return!
Stopped in for a few pints other night with my mate. Nice interior and pleasant staff. Theakstons Best served better here than some of the pubs in Thirsk and Ripon which are a lot closer to Masham!Rooms: 4/5
Our friends live in the town so we met them for Sunday lunch we were greeted by a lovely lady who showed us to a table in the window a young lad came and took our drinks we would have had a bottle of wine but the young lad had not been there very long so we all just ordered drinks the guys had beer and I had a soft drink we ordered our meals we all had starters which were beautiful my husband and myself had the pork our friends had a beef and a risotto then there were dessert three had dessert which look fab thank you for such a lovely time
Had a lovely meal here whilst staying in area, food was lovely, service was very good, wine was very reasonably priced, would definitely recommend the pate'. Staff friendly, I would recommend booking as busy, predominantly a hotel but welcomes non residents for food and drink, well worth a visit for good food and drink
Second time staying here. Food was lovely and breakfast set you up for the day. Staff are very nice especially Kath and Ali. The certain local one just couldn't wind his very loud mouth in again! We were told this had been sorted but unfortunately not. We don't want to sit listening to someone's ventures on a dating site and what he got up to with various conquests I'm afraid!! A few people had said the same about this certain person and had put them off going back. Its shame because the hotel is lovely but this let's its down.
Nice hotel with friendly helpful staff. Brilliant food and a lovely breakfast. Rooms adequate with plenty of space. Rooms: Rooms basic but very nice and the bed very comfortable Walkability: Nice little town to walk round with some lovely walks further afielld Food & drinks: Food and drink excellent
