This place doesn't even deserve a 1 star but it's the lowest I can give unfortunately its that bad. 3 caravans gone missing in less than 6 months plus others damaged. I really do advise to AVOID AVOID AVOID AT ALL COSTS. The cameras don't work either. It's just an invitation site we were lucky to still have ours. It's nothing like the it shows on the Internet. As for gold star rating no way.
No words !!! The ower should be take to court for make this storage We keep caravan paid for it ans have window, tires stole , owner said not his bussness Pls someone should take ower to some rrsponsabilty Naughbours next door have all window stolen
Not happy at all Had my caravan stolen from here So much for secure storage Eddie Hutchins well my review would have went something like this . I moved my caravan to this location when my old site had alterations . Looking back now I wish to god I hadn't. I booked my holiday on a site starting this Friday. Went to Downlands to collect my caravan which was an expensive make. It had wheel clamps on and other security measures , the site as a fence and gates and cctv and is supposed to be secure and gold rated . Phoned the owner couldn't care less , he as someone on site guarding it , surely they heard the clamps being cut off . Cctv isn't working either and how did they get it through the gates ? Unbelievable and upon further scrutiny they are not gold standard accredited . DO NOT PUT ANYTHING IN STORAGE HERE.
Despite there being improvements in the perimeter fencing, all down one side of the site there were no improvements made at all. Thieves broke in and stole a number of windows off my and 3 other caravans. Owner of the site acknowledges the fact thieves are on the prowl he doesn’t however think the improvements that need to be made on the side of the site adjoining his neighbours where the thieves gain entry are his responsibility telling me to fit an alarm and claim on my insurance who wrote the caravan off despite the fact this not so secure storage is easily accessible to thieves and almost all of not every security cameras do not work and as for having a live on caretaker as a ‘deterrent’ couldn’t be any less helpful / interested if he tried. All this could be yours for £720 a year! My only advice…. Look elsewhere!
Just had my mates caravan nicked from here, they won't allow access to CCTV probably not working & told him to claim off his own insurance, not a good way to run a secure cough establishment.
Went to collect caravan and it’s gone. Site manager and owner don’t want to know. Was meant to be secure. Cctv they only have for 4 weeks. I would move your caravans asap!
Thieves got in and stole my windows. Security needs to be improved. £700 for the year and £2000 for the windows. Apparently there is a camera or cameras but this doesn’t help to prevent theft.
Site has excellent security including brand new fences and gates all round. The staff will go out of their way to be as friendly and helpful as possible. I have never had any problems with any of my caravans stored there. I would definitely recommend anyone needing storage to go there.
In the last year the owner has addressed the issues raised in the reviews and the grounds are maintained and upkept and the paths and road leading to the plots have been regravelled. New 24 hour CCTV surveillance has been installed and the perimeter fence have all been replaced to ensure that the facility is completely secure and safe for storage of caravans, motorhomes and vehicles.
This storage facility is not secure, one caravan had 6 windows stolen another had tv and a window stolen, despite having cctv and a caretaker. Owner takes no responcibilty whatsoever. So leave your caravan here at your own loss i thought as they charge premium rates i would get a premium service, not the case. I spent a lot of time last year climbing nettles to open my caravan door. Beware guys.
