A friend said we should try this place for a romantic dinner because of all the wine bottles in the window, which has names on them, I looked at Trip Advisor and the reviews were quite poor, but tried it anyway - mistake! A lady stopped outside before we went in and told us not to waste our money, should have listened. Food was cold and the prices were high. It's hard to believe that the wine bottles are from previous customers I don't believe that many people would go in there. When I tried to complain I was told that I didn't know what I was talking about, shame really I would say it must have been a nice place once. My advice, risk it if you're thick skinned and don't leave a tip. Going to try the other Italian next time the reviews are better.

Firstly, before I relay our experience tonight (Saturday 31.1.15) let me say that this restaurant had been recommended by a close family member, who had visited the previous weekend. First impression was that the decor was dated mid to late 80s. However this was not an issue as a warm Italian was surly waiting..... ? Alas this was not the case, no one to greet us, no one at the bar to talk to. The restaurant was just under half full, we walked in at 7.30 pm. When someone did acknowledge us, it was cold greeting by a woman in her early 60s, very headmistress-esq (We know now that was the properties wife), who explained a half hour wait for food, she did then direct us to a table and leave us with a menu each. • Some 15 minutes later!! A drinks order was taken • 10/15 Minutes later our food order was taken (So there is the 30 minute delay!!) • NO CONVERSATION FROM ANY MEMBER OF STAFF Food IMO was of an average standard when delivered • For 3 beers , bottle of house wine and two course meal £ 64 Table next to us complained that a sirloin steak was in fact a rump, the one waitress working (The same headmistress described earlier) then proceeded to argue with the other couple. After much deliberation, they left paying only for drinks and starters. So in summary a 4 out of 10, while dated the restaurant itself was ok, the major problem is the staff who frankly seem tired and dis interested in there paying customers enjoying their evening. As a frank assessment of the evening, there are many superior similar (Italian) restaurants in Wellingborough and the surrounding areas.

We had a lovely traditional italian meal tonight. Every dish was tasty and well prepared. We were made very welcome by the owners and would recomend this restaurant.

This was recommended to us, so we went for Valentines Day, what a wash out, the food was mediocre we had fair to average service and just wished we'd have gone somewhere else. There was a couple in there who had obviously been before which made it feel very much like a restaurant for the select few. Never again

Don Peppi is a lovely local traditional Italian. Family run business. I went with work friends for lunch. Bargain at £6.95 and no wait. Staff very freindly. Ever since ive been ive been eager to go back and I live in Northampton. I plan to take my sister there to celebrate her exam results.
