Affordable Italian food in Cambridge. The food is also really fresh and good! Personally felt that the carbonara tasted yummy. Other dishes that we tried were definitely a treat as well. The seating is mostly underground, on a lower level, and the kitchen it on the ground floor.
Had a delicious full English breakfast here this morning. We sat outside in the morning sun. The coffee was very good, and the food was well cooked. I'll definitely be back! Thank you
This restaurant is great located and food is delicious! But coffee was terrible, table service need to be improved, one of the waitresses was really polite but other one that charged us was unprofessional. :
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! The drinks were warm The pizza was like eating a Jacobs cracker the "hand cut chips were clearly McCain's Homefries We sent the pizzas back and the pizza without cheese returned with a piece of goats cheese hidden underneath the toppings. We complained about the chips and he said "oh yeah we ran out of potatoes" and still charged us for the Hand-cut chips at £3 The group sitting behind us also complained saying their food was inedible Absolutely horrendous experience
6 of us went for lunch, quick and very polite service. Food came out looked great and tasted great! My husband had the calzone and it was impressive! Packed with filling! My pizza tasted beautiful with a crispy Italian base. Our friends had a mix of pizza and pasta and they all really enjoyed what they had. We all had a dessert too! It was also the perfect location to sit out right on the corner of market square. They even had little heaters for when the sun popped behind the clouds! We will definitely come back soon!
Being Spanish, I really appreciate Italian food. Me and my family enjoyed a good lunch after a few drinks and we really liked it. To top it all, the kindness shown by the staff towards clients a piece of cloth was brought to one of them to keep her warm is something that really makes it stand out. Great views of St. Mary's as well! Overall, a great place, recommended.
Attended as a group of 4. Seated promptly, drinks and food order taken, plus my pizza was delicious. Staff were polite and efficient. This place is consistently good and most likely why my parents go there once a week for breakfast without fail.
Be warned. Bad service, the first waiter could not be bothered to seat us even though we were next to a vacant table. No reason given. It took a long time for anyone to come to take our order. Drinks came without ice so we asked about never received. Food quite good and plentiful but the tomato salad was very basic. When it came to paying, no bill. You take a scrap of paper to the till, they put it in and give the price. No printout to check things are in order. Service was automatically added at 10%. I asked for it to be removed and suddenly the staff became hostile and confrontational. Probably the most aggressive Italians I have ever encountered. Highly recommended if you want stroppy Italians, bad service, unwarranted service charge and confrontation.
It has got pretty decent number of tables in a cosy basement. We had ordered pizza and we were not happy with its taste. The base was very thick and we didn’t like the toppings. I was disappointed that they couldn’t prepare a decent Margarita. My friend had ordered some prawns and that tasted delicious to her and it also looked to be pretty good.
A very interesting little place that I have returned to several times. There is plenty of seating outdoors opposite the market as well as downstairs in their cosy basement. The ceilings are a little low, so mind your head as you walk around if you are tall! A little cramped but with a great atmosphere. Definitely recommend their breakfast, probably the best I have tried in Cambridge. They also have a great lunch offer, perfect to grab something tasty and get off your feet
