At the time of my visit I've had the impression that the staff was unusually helpful and attentive more than in other places. But I went there not for the service but rather for a pizza. And this choice of place has turned out to be great! Perhaps I was unusually hungry but it surely was one of the best pizzas I've ever had in my life! 100% seriously
Great and attentive service, freshly-cooked food and authentic Italian cuisine put Pizza Express on my list of must-try restaurants. For their unique starters, the texture of their doughballs al forno complemented the chewy cheese well and I love that there's some crispy parts as well from the bubbling hot plate. As for mains, the Duo Romana pizza is an excellent deal, the classic combination I got of the Fiorentina and American Jack a terrific balance for first-timers unsure what to try for their first time. But this particular branch I need to give extra praise. The staff were very welcoming and always checked if I needed anything; kudos to their manager as well for being hands-on and helping out when it gets super busy. I wish I could have tried using their app which comes with freebies for first-time users and promos, plus cashless payments but since my Google Account is set to the Philippines, the app was deemed incompatible for my phone which is odd since my hardware is hardly outdated, being a Samsung S20 Plus. Not a dealbreaker, but I would have liked to have tried the service. As for ambience and accommodations, tables are spaced well away from each other and chairs amply comfortable. You can have conversations with friends without worrying about disturbing other diners. Very much has that hole-in-the-wall vibe, which I like immensely. Vegetarian options: Pizza Express offers a lot of vegan selections and options such as vegan mozarella which are clearly marked on the menu, plus points there especially since my Gout prohibits many a red meat from my diet Dietary restrictions: Staff asked me about my dietary restrictions before ordering and highlight in their menu to let them know beforehand.
Yousef was an amazing chef who shows me and my friends how to make pizza on a Stag Party. He was energetic, helpful and had a great sense of humour! The experience was lovely!
They were obviously short staffed, which is totally not their fault and we understand, but nobody mentioned it or said it might take a bit longer than usual. We had to wait to be seated we had booked and then ages to actually order our food. We don't mind, just would have been nice to get a heads up! The food was delicious and we were eventually seated in a cosy seat by the window too.

We dined in at the Pizza Express, Regents Street, Cambridge recently. It is a really nice restaurant with friendly and helpful staff. We enjoyed a meal there prior to going onwards to see a play at the Cambridge Arts Theatre, that evening. It was a good choice and I am very happy to recommend this branch of Pizza Express. We look forward to visiting and dining there again soon. Cheers!
We had a lovely experience - Dylan and Al were very kind and made it all very pleasant for everyone. Delicious pizzas that kids age 4 to 12 and adults all enjoyed. Thank you, Al and Dylan!
Quite friendly in the staff region, also quite nice and not horrible. I ate here and the food was ok. It was pizza and it came quite fast. We had quite a nice time. I'm not sure if it's on the level, I didn't see any real pizza express stuff and I'm guessing they are a fake franchise hoping nobody notices the truth. The more I think the more I guess they are fake. The fonts were incorrect and the secret sauce had too much oregano to be legit brand. The chairs were a giveaway also. Quite suspicious overall. Perhaps some kind of trick.
Was a bit concerned as we barely received a greeting on our arrival, our request for a child's menu was forgotten and the toilets were in quite a state. However the service we received from our waitress more than made up for this. She was great, her attention to detail for our son's nut allergy was admirable, the food was very good as usual, and the bill was a bit steep but that's the way things are going these days. Would probably have given a 4.5/5 if I could.
I’ve visited Cambridge for a nice night out and we decided to go in pizza express . The atmosphere was very nice and the waiter Teodor was really helpful. He made out night very special one . Keep it like this guys . Grate job and excellent food . Kid-friendliness: The kids was really happy with their meal .
