Very pleasant café attached to Brunel's SS Great Britain. There are great river views. The food selection is not large - soup, pasties, baguettes - but there are also tempting cakes. A good place for a rest from sightseeing.
Perfectly, perfect lunch bar Simple and affordable with a little creativity.Food: 3/5
Ordered two sausage baps, waited 40 minutes and was given free drinks as apology for the delay. Problems with the tills had caused a few issues. Wasn't particularly busy but the free drinks were a nice surprise. Food is very nice, lovely views of the river and dog friendly too.
Decent enough food, pleasant staff and waterside views. That's where the positives end. Order food via a website using a QR code; the site registration wants complicated password and fails to send details to complete registration. This is too much when you are hungry and just want to order some food. Only when I asked a member of staff it turned out the online ordering wasn't mandated and I ordered at the counter. Food arrived without cutlery and we were told to get it ourselves; given that we were outside, one of us had to traipse indoors to get cutlery. Not sure why it couldn't have been brought out with the food. Also ordered cups of tea, which had TEABAGS MADE FROM PLASTIC!!!!! Utterly disgraceful, they need to address this, there's no excuse. The tables were slow to be cleared which meant that all the leftover food on the table next to us was raided by feral pigeons who ransacked the table, knocking all the cutlery and leftovers onto the ground. Had to keep fending them off while we were eating.
Delicious bacon sandwiches, quality teas and coffees. Really nice staff too. An unexpected nice morning with a lovely view. Good step free access for those with less mobility.
Expensive food items on the menu and outside of the menu, there's really not a lot of choice. Too many sweet things, not enough savoury. Although, what I did eat was quite nice.
Had a coffee and cake here which was both nice. No dogs allowed so sat outside. A bit chilliFood: 5/5
Set on the edge of the docklands and with a view of the river and SE Great Britain. The Harbourside cafe is housed in a separate building and sells a range of food during the day. Soups, sandwiches, salads and some sweet treats. Friendly staff and lots of options for lunch
Very nice cafe especially if you sit outside and enjoy the view. Very fast service. It's a little bit expensive but considering the location it's quite understandable.Food: 4/5
Good selection of food. Free cashpoint inside. Ice creams. Children lunch deal. Children’s jacket potato or toastie. By the river very pleasant surroundings. Staff very friendly and helpful.
