Was starving and thought I would treat myself to dinner whilst staying at aloft. Had fish and chips and was really disappointed. The fish was greasy and soggy and didn't justify the price. There is also an automatically added service charge to the bill, which I found unfair. I was served by a bald Caucasian man that seemed to be the only one taking his role seriously, the rest of the staff were just messing around destroying the whole atmosphere. I have stayed a few times at this hotel and it's a shame to see the low standards I've noticed in this restaurant . I've always enjoyed my stays here, but this restaurant is a disappointing experience. Please step up and improve.
The food is awful!!! “Chipotle chicken” tacos that are served freezing cold fyi… That chicken has never seen a seasoning a day in its life and the salsa is straight out of a grocery store jar, same with the taco shell, looks like Taco Bell. Why are we putting a mix of lettuce, arugula and carrots in tacos? Also got the sea bass and it tasted like freezer burn, had bones in it, and again no seasoning. Broccolini was soaked in just butter, no salt no pepper. Please do yourself a favor and eat somewhere else. The best decision we made was ordering a side of onion rings, and even those were undercooked… I’d rather have a tuna mayo sandwich from Boots lol
Really cool building and setting and service really nice. My girlfriend has eaten her multiple times and assured me it was nice. But the pizza I got was truly awful. Basically just cheap tomato spread on bread with droppings of a questionable cheese on top. I asked for more cheese after and it was still poor. Burgers looked decent. But avoid the pizza...
Do yourself a favor, and avoid this place. We waited for our food for way over and hour, when it got here every single order was wrong. After telling them we had the wrong side, I had to remind them 45 min later that we were still waiting for the correct sides. Place wasn't even crowded. When we told them the issues we had, we were met with arrogance... Finally they decided to give us a discount after the whole table complained. Food was less that mediocre. Embarrassing.
Food Quality is far a way from to place in a hotel I try 2 time First time steak was very bad Second time the tikka masala feel as came out of a plastic bag from Supermarket:
Service is good. Food is basic but tasty. Ok if you are hungry or at the hotel but not one to go out of your way for. Buffet breakfast has a wide range but be prepared to wait for the toaster
The food was appalling, Came from the North to stay in Docklands…. We tried out this restaurant as from the outside and the menu it didn’t look that bad, But when we received our food it was absolutely disappointing, The presentation of the food looked as it was dropped on the floor and then picked up and put straight back on the plate, The mushrooms and the chicken had no moisture which meant it was all over cooked and dry… The veg was absolutely shocking as it was just thrown on the plate with no flavour to it…. The best part of the restaurant was the water to wash down the dry taste left in my mouth…. Wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone!!!
Where should I start? Waited over 2 hours for this steak and ale pie. 5 minutes turned into hours. The beef brisket was thick, dry and was accompanied by cold mashed potatoes.. the manager was fantastic when we shared our feedback and did his best to make it right.
What a chaotic restaurant! We were a table of 8 and everything was messed up and when we received our starters at the same time of our mains then we discovered the food was tasteless.... Seriously guys? How difficult is it to properly take orders and then make quality food in 4 stars hotel?? Never again!
Okay Variety. Horrible Quality and Taste of food items, smoothie, orange juice, etc. Did not expect this from the Aloft 4 Star hotel.
