Great pub restaurant, comfy seating with a good vibe and friendly staff. Visited for brunch had a great time, sadly the only disappointment was the side of ‘mac and cheese’ which truly LACKED taste and effort. Otherwise, I would go back for cocktails and the burgers, which tasted SUPER! I recommend the Pink Lady cocktail!! This is a great location to meet with friends grab a bite and some drinks, good for groups and they show the football.
I like the place! It is not too overcrowded which is a good thing for us but not good if you look at earnings though. Staff turnover is very high which is that Ben expected in a relatively new hospitality business. However there is a few staff which seem to stay and they are really friendly and remember their regulars as well which is a bonus. This place serves Nivea cocktails as well which are normal priced because this area has not been overcrowded with “wannabe” rich people yet. So the people going there are mostly just locals which is a good thing. Their food is excellent, it is easy to see that they take pride in serving you good food. The chips are unfortunately not included. Every Saturday seems to be music day which is amazing, but the dj is playing at an awkward position facing away from the public, so it looks like the venue does not want to set it up properly due to cost. The sound system is pretty bad as well, so don’t expect good sound if you are an audiophile. What you can expect is friendly staff, good music, good and well priced drinks and a clean and well run business.
Pubs ain't really my place, but when I found out other side fried was operating the kitchen I had to come and check it out. Wow im glad I did because these chicken burgers are amazing!!! The "dirty fries" are spot on too. Slightly more pricey than your local chicken shop but definitely worth it for a treat. Apart from the food the pub / bar has a nice selection of beers, wines, sprits and cocktails all I think reasonably priced. Managed to get a seat on a Thursday evening and it wasn't too crazy inside. Definitely going again soon...
This place is a real gem. It’s got a decent beer selection and the food is amazing. It’s surprisingly big but doesn’t seem overwhelming, still feels like a really cozy and nice place to come for a drink...or two. The staff were so friendly and really helpful, chatting about everything from the menu to future plans. Can’t wait to visit again. The toast beer is great! Give it a go.
We’ve been wanting to go in for ages since we saw it’s been renovated and we had the pleasure of finding BEST chicken burger we’ve ever had in our lives. The staff are so friendly and the way they’ve decorated is absolutely beautiful. The cocktails are delicious and the booze selection is great, can’t wait to come back.
Crazy good chicken. Shame chips not included - Ordered separately and they weren't anything special. Would have been 5 stars otherwise. Highly recommended though!
2-4-1 Tuesday, buffulo fried chicken burger and fries. Fresh succulent and tasty great sauce definitely recommend
Ordered through Deliveroo and possibly the worst burger and chips I’ve ever had. The food was cold, the burger buns were wet, the chips were low quality oven chips and what were meant to be dirty fries, was a few bits of burnt bacon sprinkled on the top. Avoid at all costs! Definitely lived up to the name 'dirty' south.
Great local pub with tasty chicken burgers and a warm welcome. Highly recommended!
