Terrible service, told me I was removed from their patient list by the NHS because I hadn’t been for an appointment in 4 years. I asked if it was the NHS or themselves who had removed me but they insisted it was the NHS. I’ve now checked with the NHS and they confirmed surgeries are responsible for managing their lists, not the NHS. They are free to remove people, but don’t lie about it.nnI haven’t needed a dentist, don’t have the time to have checkups as I have 3 disabled children, sadly it’s just not a priority. Reading the other reviews though it really does seem like I dodged a bullet.nnMy last appointment with them I’d called to ask to be seen urgently. To be fair they got me in fairly quickly. The roof of my mouth was really sore and had turned black. The dentist said it was fine and sent me home. A few days later the pain was excruciating, so I called again but they couldn’t fit me in. I called 111 and was sent to a lovely dentist in Welshpool. She looked in my mouth and was horrified. She couldn’t believe I’d been told it was fine. She said not to panic but she was referring me to the Birmingham Dental Hospital.nnThe hospital decided it was so urgent I was seen within the week, and had a further 5 sessions with them to help me recover from a serious infection. They suspected cancer at first and ran a series of tests, I was anxious and scared waiting for the results, fortunately it wasn’t so serious.nnThe dentist I saw was disgusted that I’d been told it was fine and then turned away, and said they’d be following up with them over this. No idea if they did. I should have tried to register with another dentist after this, but stuck with them. They’ve left me in limbo but I’m waiting for a callback from 111 about an emergency appointment. I’ll then try to register at a practice with staff who care.
Extremely rude receptionist. No people skills what so ever.nNot the first time unfortunately this seems to be the norm here. Perhaps needs some training in patient care.
Not sure why they won't re- register me, something to do with following advice on emergency advice they had given, as in seeing another dental practice. And will no longer offer myself service anymore. Strange NHS Wales...
Lovely surgery, the staff are really friendly & approachable & I trust this dentist 100%. Excellent.
Recently moved to Welshpool so needed a new NHS dentist. Rang in Feb and Deri was able to fit me in for a check up in April as requested. Very pleasant and efficient service for the appointment.
