Never bring your lovedones here went to the open clinic burton checked before going there the website shows they take walk in 08:30 to 11:30 i been there at 10 they say we never take walk in you go to derby urgent care center carry my 8 months opd and sick wife came here then one very rude nurse attended us she look racict and act racist aswell gave us appointment for later after 4 hours i just arive 6 minutes later due to haevy trafic in burton and derby i even requested her she said no you are late i request her we came from burton she said no what when you nhs guys keep us waiting for hours????? Very disappointed
Quick and efficient. I cut my hand making a sandwich - was triaged within 10 mins of arriv as k and the triage nurse cleaned, glued and dressed the wound. I was out within about 20 mins. Good job !
I visited Derby Urgent Treatment Centre today due to severe ear pain after being referred by NHS 111. I had an appointment, but unfortunately, my experience with the doctor was extremely disappointing.nnHe was rude, rushed, and showed no empathy. He look at ny ear and mentioned that I had earwax .When I asked about my other ear, he refused to check it and told me to see my GP instead. I understand that it may have been a busy time, but a little kindness and proper communication should be expected from a healthcare professional.nnWhile removing the wax, he was rough and dismissive, causing more discomfort. He did not explain anything to me, which made me feel even worse. I even felt that his attitude might have been racially motivated, which is deeply upsetting.nnHowever, the nurse who assisted him was incredibly kind and explained things to me properly. I really appreciate her patience and compassion.nnI left the clinic in tears, feeling humiliated and unheard. If urgent care doctors behave this way, I honestly don’t know where patients can turn to for help during an emergency. A very bad experience overall.
The male clinician was very professional. I was given time to explain my symptoms and express how I was feeling. Although I was assessed and sign posted back to the GP surgery, I felt so much better because of the empathic and caring manner in which I had been treated.
Was told I’d have blood test results back within 3 days, called my doctors after 3 days and they had no records of the blood test. Called the urgent care centre to check on the progress and couldn’t get through after an hour. Tried to call them again the following day and got from number 4 in the queue to number 2 in just over an hour. I’m sure I only moved up the queue because people had got fed up of waiting and hung up. Will be driving to the centre tomorrow. Don’t waste your time trying to call. Absolutely abysmal service.
