Their website says you can call anytime between 8 and 6 to make an appointment. I called at 4pm to be told that I'd have to call at 8am, which doesn't work for me. I then tried to make an appointment online, where it said I would be contacted in 48 hours. 6 days later, they made 2 attempts to ring me, despite me marking my preferred contact method as email. As I missed these calls since I wasn't expecting them, they cancelled my appointment and said I would have to restart the whole impossible process. They don't care about helping people, don't care about their sick patients, absolutely outrageous service
I have called during the day and have waited nearly an hour just to get through to someone. The service you provide is getting poorer over the years. I have read through the reviews and many patients have advised they are not happy with your wait times and efficiency, however nothing is being done about this. Every time i come in for an appointment you have either one or two people on reception to help patients walking into the surgery and answer your calls. With 3 people sat at the computers looking at their screens or having a chat. Can you please take your patients views and opinions into account and take action towards wait times and service being provided. Your doctors are really helpful and always go out their way.
Called three seconds after 8am hoping to get a phone call for later, i'm 11th in the queue. 20 minutes later I get through, ask for a phone call and I'm told there's none available for today. Turns out that even calling at 8am is insufficient for this surgery, perhaps next time I'll call two seconds after 8am and I'll be able to acquire the health service that I pay for. Absolutely shambolic!
My daughter has moved to the UK. Unfortunately, she has been sick regularly since moving from one country to another. She has been trying to book appointments with your team, waiting on the line as early as 8 AM. After an hour, either there is no answer or no appointments are available and it is impossible to get an appointment for another day. Your booking system is so useless that she had to call 111 to be taken seriously. It is a shame how you treat people without any respect. Staff is condescending and unpleasant. Avoid!!
I have been a patient at this practice for 30 years, it is an extremely good practice with an excellent range of services. The reception staff are very professional, patient and helpful, likewise the clinical staff are very knowledgeable, supportive and friendly . Dr Vadgama; the senior partner is absolutely brilliant ! There have been some reviews stating concerns about availability of appointments, yes, it certainly can be a challenge to get a same day appointment, but this is the same in nearly all practices in the country ! DRHC you do a great job in very challenging circumstances; THANK YOU ALL .
Each health service has its own dedicated waiting room so the appointment is exactly on time. All the medical staff are dedicated specialists i.e not GPs so there is a greater level of expertise and experience.
Dr Hermo is great, receptionists are nice. That's about it. Most doctors are quite condescending and don't actually look for what you ask them to.
Whenever I call for an appointment I end up with waiting an hour on the phone. Recently, I could not get an appt. then I decided to go myself there. I went to the surgery myself in the morning, the receptionist said they are busy, it was quiet there around 8. I can't understand this system. It does not help people who work. We pay for everything but we don't receive the care needed. What shall we do?
I have been coming to this surgery for over 20 years and it has really gone down hill. I only try to see a doctor when I am unable to purchase something over the counter and require a prescription and medical examination. It is close to impossible to get a appointment. Every appointment is "telephone" and then you have to book another to see the DR which can take another 2 weeks if not longer. Waiting on the telephone can take over an hour and today I was cut twice after waiting so long finaly getting to queue position 7. This surgery is simply no longer practical for function. It is a very heavy student area and this surgery constantly takes on new patients when it can not even adequately take care of its current patient list. Very disappointed
I booked an appointment and thought it was at 11am but I double checked on the NHS app, and it said my appointment was booked for 4pm. I assumed I must have been wrong about the appointment time and I waited until 4pm but apparently I was correct with the 11am time. And then the receptionist blamed me for it and said sometimes they're not able to put the correct time on the app. And I was supposed to just know that?? She was acting like I was really stupid but their booking system is clearly flawed. My GP was meant to phone me back to book another appointment but she never did. Rude, incompetent staff. Plus you always have to wait in a long queue to speak to anyone.
