I got the worst treatment and negligence from this centre. Couldn't even believe it. I had a dog bite with broken skin bleeding and went to Bakersfield Medical center immediately, they did not attend to me and did not give me any appointments. Rather they said the Dr will call me and asked me to go home. I got a call from the Dr Mehek who just told me I did not need any treatments or assessments. I was shocked. I asked if I wouldn't be given a tetanus shot or antibiotics and this so-called Dr said I did not need anything. I told him the won't was already swollen and he just asked me to get Anti-histamine from any pharmacy. I was confused but thankfully I called 111 after 48hours because I was still having headaches and 111 handled my case as an obvious emergency. I was referred to QMC emergency immediately where I got a tetanus jab and the wound assessed for antibiotics. So how exactly do I explain the fact that my GP refused to treat me? Why did my GP neglect a dog bite? Why did my GP say I did not need any tetanus shot and specifically told me the tetanus shot I had as a baby would cover me??? A 30 year old woman like me? This is HORRIBLE!!! I had to learn from 111 that tetanus shots last for just 10years and that my GP should not have neglected me. I honestly hope something is done to this Bakersfield GP surgery.
I honestly don't understand why there are so many bad reviews about this practice They have been absolutely amazing when I've needed them I really cannot complain about a single thing the doctors are the nurse and the receptionists. Thanks for your good work
Very disappointing to know that Dr Meehat has been exposed as a racist. He is also very rude especially to elder patients. Very surprising to see him still being able to practice, when he has prejudicial views which can affect his ability in his role as a DR.
I wish to extend my thanks and gratitude to Dr. Mehat and Suki, the phlebotomist, for what has proven to be life-saving interventions, which they made on my behalf at the Bakersfield Medical Centre. In early July 2024, Dr. Mehat first listened to my accounts of strange and unusual symptoms that were affecting my health and general well-being. I provided as much evidence as was available to me to assist the doctor and within a two week period he searched for medical proof of what might be troubling me. After examining me thoroughly, and taking from me a series of blood samples, Dr. Mehat was sufficiently concerned to seek assistance from specialists at the Queen's Medical Centre Nottingham; Doctor Mehat arranged to have me admitted immediately to a ward where I was subjected to an equally thorough series of scans and examinations. Within 24 hours, the Doctors had their answer; I had sustained an unusual, tiny, but potentially dangerous infection within a heart valve. I am due to undergo 2 weeks of intensive treatment at the City Hospital Nottingham with a view to eliminate the infection. It has been made clear to me that without the BMC's proactive and determined response to a very unusual condition, my life would have been at risk in the longer term. Whatever happens in the future, I will be eternally grateful to Dr. Mehat and his excellent team. Well done
Today I was honoured to meet nurse Sue for a cervical cancer test.I have never been served with so much politeness.She was very friendly ,patient and answered all the questions I asked cheerfully.Thank you nurse Sue.You made my appointment enjoyable!
Your hourly clinic for circumcision is handled ridiculously the Docter & the nurse has no manners The nurse that takes the child in does not change her ppe as I was watching her for over 20 minutes she gives a child back that has had Circumsission to the parents goes back over to the reception gets next child's paperwork and cash then goes over to the parents gets the child and goes in reapet was going on whenever she came out The Docter has bad manners and argued with my issue they where all telling lies as I had a witness tha last patient he went away said I am not doing it here if there attitude is like this and the way they are handling the new born I urge you to rectify this if this isn't I will be taking matters further THR DOCTER WAS AGRESSIVE I TOLD HIM MY OLDEST WAS DONE I DERBY PARENTS ALSO WENT INSIDE AND SEEN THE PROCEDURE HE GOES WELL THEN GO THERE Y U CAME HERE ONE OF THE WORST CIRCUMSISSION DOCTER IN NOTTINGHAM AND ONE OF THE WORST RECEPTION TEAM
Rudest nurse/HCA, dunno what she is. She’s Asian and wears glasses. Doesn’t have a clue how to do a blood test, hurt my arm loads, while the needle was in my arm and her hand was over it with no gloves, she was searching for something on her desk. So rude. No apology no nothing. Do not get me started on Dr Mehat. 0/10. Place needs to get shut down.
Dr BAL MEHAT! Possibly the worst doctor you will ever meet in your life. Rude arrogant.Google his name and it will tell you everything you need to no about the pice of s!!!t. The reception staff are beyond rude. I wouldn’t even rate it a 1*. Avoid doctor mehat at all cost! I rang monday to make appointment to see doctor because i had really bad headache and ear infection and pain reception said mehat will call back been home all day waiting for him to call me back till at 4pm i called to find out whats going on told will call b4 6pm. Didn't heard anything at ll so i rang back Tuesday day reception said mehat want blood samples so he need to book me in for next week Monday.i asked reception why haven't no one rang and told me he had no answer and what about pain and infection i got do i have to wait for another week to see doctor he said yes well that's taking piss mehat need to shut down
My parents and many other family members have been registered with this practice for as long as I can remember. Unfortunately, it has come to light Dr Mehat and his daughter-in-law Dr Sharon do not hold back when it comes to religious discrimination. A simple telephone conversation can really bring out the real abhorrence both have towards a whole community. I'd like to see how they wiggle their way out this one. I will be taking this to the GMC and any other regulatory body to investigate the allegations especially when its targeting a specific religious group, actually targeting any race or religion is out of order when you are so called 'professionals'.
Very rude practice manager. She was taking calls & was very rude & abrupt in her manner from the start of the conversation making assumptions & then continued to say 'you are not just speaking to a normal receptionist I am the practice manager!' As I was adamant in what i wanted, she put the phone down on me! No wonder the surgery doesn't have many high recommendations, probably the practice manager pushing her targets. Dr Sharon is a really caring & sympathetic doctor who listens, with Dr Mehat however, it feels like he just wants to finish the consultation quickly & get rid you. I have been very disappointed in general with this surgery & will be moving else where.
