This place is a hit and miss and by that what I mean is the food and the service is not consistent. Even I went for the first time for a meal, the taste of some dishes were well cooked some weren’t. The service staff were not attentive and it was very difficult to call them when we wanted to ask for something. And it was not the service staff or waiters fault at all. I saw the owner or the manager was asking these guys to do everything on the shop floor. They were asked to prepare sweet boxes on one side and serving customers on the counter/ till and on the other side they were asked to serve customers on the dining area. Overall lovely and friendly staff but the organisation needs someone experienced person who can train others. I will go again and will recommend others to go as well.
This isn’t oily food, this is oil with some food. I came today to collect my order and this is what I got. I asked please don’t put oil as this isn’t the first time this is happening, but here we are. Service was very disorganised and it’s clear that they had no training on how to speak/ deal with customers. It took 50 minutes to get 2 simple dishes. Also, dal was overcooked with too much oil and butter. Even a white person like me can make a better dal. What a shame.
Tasty, down-to-earth Indian vegetarian food at a good price. The Punjabi food is the most authentic but there are some South Indian dishes such as dosas for those so inclined. The friendly staff give it a bit of a family restaurant feel. On occasion it can feel a bit inefficient with food taking time to arrive and occasional mix ups but not to the point of being a problem. I've probably been at least 25 times and I'm looking forward the next 25.
Very good, down to earth vegetarian Indian food. Value for money, the price absolutely fantastic. The food does take a while to prepare but that’s because it’s so fresh. The samosa chatt is divine. It’s not fancy or flash, it’s down to earth wholesome
The old stereotype applies here, “good food terrible service”. I’ve been eating from Delhi Walla Heston and Whitton for a good four years now. Unfortunately, the service has been downhill for a good year now. Staffed are untrained, lack menu knowledge, basic customer service skills and I’ve finally lost my patience with some of the silly questions I get, “would you like your pick up hot or cold?” Really!? When I’ve ordered two curries..I’ve decided to not frequent ever again.
I recently was in the shop ordering a takeaway which we had pre NYE and was so tasty. Historically the service has been slow but I’ve got to say they’ve speeded up massively. I also left my silver card holder with 3 bank cards in it 2 of the staff very kindly dropped it back to my house before I’d even realised I’d lost it drivers license had my address Thank you so much Deli Wala, you are a real Whitton Institution!!!!
We went for dinner at this restaurant and had a miserable experience at the hands of this guy serving us. Firstly, he didn't bother to come to our table to take the orders for at least 15minutes. Kids started starving and i had to go their bill counter to ask if anyone was planning to take the order. Lady at the counter asked to go back & nothing happened as he was busy having chat with other staff. After several attempts signalling from the table, the guy showed up in some sort of frustration and was very rude not sure why. Best part is he was too happy serving the English customers. It was quite evident this poor old person is not trained on how to treat and manage all customers equally. Food was good but customer service was pathetic. If you are forced to get food from here, best to order a takeaway as neither the ambience or the way they are organised will make you feel having a good time at the dinner. Especially a big avoid for those with kids as you will regret for being here. This old man definitely needs some advice and training on how to treat customers. If this old person happens to be the manager or owner, you can help yourself by giving up customer facing and allow others to serve. Remember that if you dont treat your customers well, some else will. Worst part is this is much different to the DelhiWala in Southhall, where it was fanstastic experience. This franchise of Delhiwala is really a big let down!
I really like it here. We only ever get take away rather than sit in. The chilli naan and onion bhajis are the best. We've also had the vegetable biryani, and chilli paneer. All excellent.
The best, fresh quality authentic Indian/Punjabi food. Great service too.Recommended dishesChilli Paneer, Samosa, Bhatura
We've been for eat in meals over a number of years and, although the food is good, the service is extremely poor and criplingly slow. Today, we had to chase the staff FOUR times to first get the tea we'd ordered and then, again and again for our food which, after 30 mins of waiting, we were told we might not get because they were 'short staffed and the lady who cooks that dish isn't in today'. Our mains finally turned up without any condiments and only one set of cutlery, and then, almost 50 minutes after first ordering them, the starters arrived. The staff are not interested and obviously don't care about their customers. After today's experience we have decided to never go back. In future we'll go somewhere that values our custom.
