An interesting art deco building with gallery, restaurant and gift shop within, stocking a nice selection of art related items. Unfortunately, the gallery was closed due to a new installation/exhibition going in at the time of my visit. It is possible to eat outside on the restaurant veranda and you can also visit the roof or top deck. If you are interested glass art ware, I would thoroughly recommend "Rachel's glass store on the colonnade Close by. A superb range of coloured glass works by Rachel Hoath, a local artist. Several restaurants are present in the high street.
Captivating modernist building. There is a great stage with lots of big names visiting, a beautiful bar and kitchen with great views of the beach and channel and plenty of exhibition rooms. The building’s history is very interesting and there is a great book about it for £5 in the Pavilion’s shop.
This was a great place to visit during our day in Bexhill on Sea. All the staff were very nice and helpful. The coffee shop was clean and coffee fresh and tasty, a good selection of cakes and other foods to choose from. Some beautiful artwork was available to view on our visit and the shop had a good selection of books and gifts to choose from. This is a place you can pop in for a short visit and grab a coffee or spend a few hours looking at the art and culture both local and further afield.
A surprisingly good venue to see a band. Doesn't look much from the outside but has everything you need including sea views. There is a car park right outside. Go for GA as it is quite an intimate venue and the upstairs seating is quite a way back from the stage.
I always enjoy returning to this iconic area of Bexhill, with its statuesque presence on the beach front. We visited a community art exhibition on Monday afternoon & enjoyed just sitting on one of the many benches near the pavillion. Lovely.
A lovely art deco music venue built in 1935. One of the very best concert venues on the south coast with a very reasonably priced restaurant and bar.
Being somewhat of a true Art philistine, De L Warr doesn’t do much for me in that way. If you are into art, probably going to be your destination place. What it does have, is plenty of live bands and other entertainment throughout the year. Showing my age here, but saw Level 42 there, a few months back. This venue also has a great location. On the second floor, there is a Cafe, with doors to an outside balcony, that over looks the sea. On a sunny day, just sit there and watch the world go by….
A super modernist building from the 30's with a great narrow but long sun-catching balcony outside the café on the first floor. A small savory snack menu with a good selection of cakes and pastries.
Absolutely incredible Art Deco building with a bookshop and lovely cafe with a perfect view of the sea. Definitely worth a visit.
Was unable to see any exhibits due to poor planning on my side, however very much enjoyed the views from the balcony even if the weather looked a little moody and the cafe inside. Had a breakfast bap, delicious!
