Dawsons did an excellent job for me personally selling a couple of items that made very good prices.nJames Lees also initiated a great day with our local church, inviting people for valuations which gave publicity to the firm and drew people into church too. A fabulous community activity.
From the start we were impressed with Dawsons Auctioneers website and decided to use their services for a probate sale. We were not disappointed! Dawsons business runs like one of the well oiled clocks that has passed through their hands.nnJames Lees conducted the initial visit to value the contents of the house and sort out the trash from the treasure. We truly believe it was James himself who made this unpleasant process more bearable and we thank him for that! His endless knowledge was mind blowing, informative and his calming presence was just what we needed. James and his colleague listed, packaged and loaded the items with care before heading off to their modern storage facilities. Within a few hours an email confirmed details of the items entered into the appropriate sales, this followed with the necessary paperwork to complete. The administration process was easy to follow and any telephone calls we made were answered by pleasant, efficient staff. On the two occasions we visited Dawsons in Maidenhead with further items James set aside time to value the items and tell us more about them.nnOn the day of the sale we were able to watch online which was fun! We were lucky enough to have some pleasant surprises in the sale, hopefully all the items went on to give years of pleasure in their new homes. After the sale we were provided with closing statements and  payment from Dawsons was prompt. With our permission Dawsons arranged for the unsold items to go to a local charity Thames Hospice.nnWe would have no hesitation in recommending Dawsons Auctioneers. Well Done!!
James Lees senior valuer took great time and trouble to value the items that I took to Dawsons in Maidenhead. He took the time to explain to me what was good and bad about the items and what I could expect to receive at auction. It was a simple and interesting experience. I would recommend him if you wanted to get information on goods you think might be suitable for auction.
We chose Dawsons to auction a pair of Daniel Radcliffe's shoes for us in June this year and they did a fantastic job for us.nWe were inexperienced sellers, and we were keen to raise every penny we could for Children's Hospices Across Scotland, Dawsons made it so easy for us.nA special mention for Peter Mason who was our key contact and he answered all of our questions, promptly, clearly, and he was a pleasure to deal with.nDawsons achieved an awesome sale price for us, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them, and we would certainly use them again in the future if any other treasures come our way.
Arranged to see James Lees today and what an enjoyable experience. Although primarily James saw my clocks he was also very happy to take a look at my other objects. Very knowledgeable and extremely helpful it was a pleasure to spend some time with James whilst he very respectfully looked through my items.
