1-Star Review – David Lloyd HarrogatenDeeply disappointed with the decline in standards at David Lloyd Harrogate.nThe men’s changing rooms are consistently dirty, damaged, and neglected. Basic hygiene is clearly no longer a priority—there is often no soap in the showers, broken tiles remain unfixed, locker panels hang off, and wet floors are left unattended. I have documented all of this with photographs and raised it with the management team on multiple occasions, but no one has even bothered to respond.nThis is supposed to be a premium health club, yet it now feels anything but. We are paying high membership fees for what is, frankly, a substandard facility.nWe have refrained until now from going public, hoping David Lloyd would deal with our concerns professionally. Sadly, the lack of acknowledgment or accountability has left us with no choice but to warn others.nI would urge anyone considering membership to visit the facilities first and judge for themselves. The current state of this club does not reflect the brand's reputation.
I booked a tour online and Sasha showed me around. She was very friendly and helpful, going out of her way to answer any questions I had and to allow me plenty of time to look around. David subsequently called me to deal with any follow up queries and membership, and again he was very friendly and accommodating.
The facilities at David Lloyd Harrogate are always spotless and well-maintained, and there’s a wide variety of equipment so you never have to wait around. The gym has a really welcoming atmosphere, and the staff are always friendly, approachable, and happy to help.
Great place for families and a company with real values. Krisztina was so willing to help and quickly sorted some memberships from David for our raffle to support my daughter and her team's European Karate competition—meant a lot to us and the team!
I originally did a enquiry online, shortly after I received a phone call from Sasha who was fantastic and booked me in for a tour. I met David on the day the sales manager and he was fantastic and showed me round the facilities. He explained all the benefits of being a member in detail, making it an easy decision. Harry was great as well a welcoming character who helped myself with the sign in and in app processing. Over all 10/10 joining experience.
