So overwhelmed about this experience that I don't even know where to start and who takes the blame here. This family house we recently bought was almost immaculate condition when we first saw it. Even the garden looked sort of tidy and welcoming. After the offer acceptance we booked ourselves in for a more detailed viewing, measuring etc. The second visit was something horrific. The owner would just let us all in and then leaves for a party in town for the weekend. The house looked like having a rough couple weeks of parties itself. Quite a few pet animals left in and outdoor with all water/food bowls dry. So we ring the agency to ask them to make sure the property is all clean and ready for us to move in. The reason was that this condition happened within 3 weeks and there was still 9 weeks to go before we sign the final contract. We then got agreement on a professional cleaning. Guessing right. Didn't happen. 5 of us were cleaning the entire place for 7 days all days. And it's not even done yet. Nobody cares. Over 30 bin bags was left outside the house. Full of owners waste and excrements. The other waste still behind the fence. Owner then pays back for 1 skip/waste collection and that's the new deal, adios. We are on skip 3 and going. Literally going through animal excrement all around the place. I mean it is obviously owner's responsibility to follow agreed requirements but when she fails nothing happens and Darlows made it very clear that it's all our business now. Actually not even bothered about a final agency check or a key handover. Just pop by the office, bye. There is so much more to add to this but anyway we just feel well played. No fair play at all.
I would like to take a moment to thank Jessica Jones for her truly outstanding service during my dealings with Darlows Brynmawr. She was extremely professional and followed up every single time there was an issue or a query. In these times of diminishing service standards she was exemplary in every way! This young lady is destined for great success and my wife and I wish her the very best. Hi, Just wanted to say what a fantastic job Jess did today of showing me round a property. She'd obviously arrived early to make sure everything was ready for when I arrived. She was polite and friendly. She clearly had excellent knowledge about the property, surrounding area and local amenities. She followed up on the visit in a professional and helpful manner. I had been flicking through Right Move for a while and finally took the plunge to look at houses during the summer holidays. Darlows seemed the best bet as they seem to have the monopoly on the housing market. I called up to book in some viewings in the first instance and this is the first and only time I spoke to someone employed directly by Darlows on the phone. I dealt with Jess, lovely lady. She booked me in for 3 viewings the first time around - there seems to be a 3 viewings per day per client limit, which I found very inconvenient in the first instance as I was traveling 100 miles to view properties with my children in tow. Then when I tried to book more viewings all I could get in touch with was their concierge service which seems to be an outsourced service that alerts the agents at Darlows by email of people who want to get in contact with them. This service would work perfectly well if ANYONE at Darlows actually read and/or replied to any emails sent to them in a timely manner. The second lot of viewings I booked with them was for a house I really wanted to see inside of. I was quite taken with it, but had question and I understand that Jess was busy after my viewing so we arranged to speak at 3:45 that afternoon after I had viewed a different property. That call never came and Darlows missed out on a sale as I was not prepared to go through the concierge service to be fobbed off yet again. We got the feeling that I was being treated and viewed as someone who wasn't serious about buying. I am now in the process of buying a different property.
We have recently sold our house with Darlows and were very happy with the service the provided. Our agent Bryony was very friendly, helpful and supportive in helping us to sell our home. We found her easy to contact if needed and she was very knowledgeable in regards to the current housing market. Overall we were very happy with Darlows and would use them again in the future!
This has been my first time dealing with Darlows. Jess has been very efficient whilst organising a viewing for a property. During the viewing she was friendly, helpful and very informative. Jess is great with her communication skills, has always kept in touch and kept me updated. So far I am very happy with the professional service I have received.
Can definitely recommend Darlows in Brynmawr - my partner and I have been searching for a house as first time buyers over the past few months and we have had several viewings with most of the team, in particular Jess, Bryony, Elinor and Lisa. Everyone has been very friendly, professional, and quick to reply to our viewing requests / questions by phone and email. They have also been very accommodating and understanding with our particular requirements in a home, and recommended properties to us. While at viewings they encouraged us to have a good look around, and were not overbearing or overly pushy trying to 'sell' any particular property to us. We've had an offer accepted on a property and fingers crossed it all goes through - we are very confident that the team will assist us with anything we need.
When we have requested to view a property, Jessica Jones was the one who showed us around. She was one of the best Estate Agents we have dealt with. She wasn’t pushy and was very thorough with all of the information. She advised us on all the local areas which was very helpful. We did not proceed with the house we viewed only due to the size of this but Jessica was on point even after, sending us other properties which we may be interested in. Thank you Jessica for all of your help.
Bryony Powell of Brynmawr branch done a fantastic job showing me around a potential house for me to buy. Not only did she stay professional at all times, she was honest with her answers which go along way. She also listened to what I wanted and made suggestions of possible houses she thought I might like! Thank you, fingers crossed my offer gets accepted.
Daniel Watkins handled my sale, and Eleanor got me started. Both were fantastic, proactive and lived up to my expectations of what estate agents should do. I had confidence that the process was well taken care of and would go by as quickly and smoothly as possible. There was no chasing up as they would call to keep my updated regularly. Very professional.
