Disgusting! Been a customer for years. Ordered takeaway, asked twice on the phone if the driver accepted a card machine as it stated on website. Tony has never accepted card over the phone as it costs the business. Old fashioned, but asked to clarify the website comment.He said yes. Driver turned up, no card machine. Inconvenience, I asked to pay over the phone. No. Ok, as you know me can I come in at my inconvenience ! & pay you tomorrow . No. Took the food back. Waste of food. Disgraceful. You do not deserve customers let alone loyal ones ! Hope you are happy with being proud of wasting food & disappointing a loyal customer. Utter disgrace & appalling way of conducting yourselves I will take my long loyal business elsewhere
Mar 2022. First visit to Darjeeling in 25 years. Used to be favourite restaurant until takeaway and delivery services were there obvious priority. This revisit was on a Wednesday evening and not busy, lacking any atmosphere. Normal Asian curry menu on offer. Chose set meal for 2 with 2 lagers. Food ok but not memorable. Service was good. Cost £45 - not best value for money in my experience.
Brilliant. I've only had a takeaway from here, but it was lovely, and not greasy like you find with lots of Indian takeaways. I ordered in the restaurant and sat and waited. It was clean, tidy and traditional looking. I'll definitely be eating in at some point.
Love eating here, the food is always very tasty.The service is always on point, always attentive but never overbearing. We have taken our 2 year old here, she loves it also. Always recomend.
Absolutely love the curry from here and have one nearly every week. I am gutted to hear they are having to close because of the utility bill situation we are experiencing across the UK. sad times
Brilliant - first time for me. My partner used to go years ago when living that side of Bham and it lived up to his memories of the restaura t. Food was excellent and very attentive staff. Well spaced. Look forward to our next visit
Travelled up to Shirley from North Devon to visit family so naturally needed to try an Indian curry!!! Phone ordered my meal, chicken tikka balti with peshwari naan and onion bhaji, asked to collect at 8pm. When arrived at restaurant I was met by the very friendly staff and food was ready for me. Food was very nice, not greasy at all, with extra poppadoms and onion salad etc added for free. Thank you.
Booked here last night for 6, then changed it to 8 the manager was than happy to do this for us at short notice. Never ever have a bad meal here and the staff are always happy and the service is top notch!!
Being a Monday evening my two other favourite restaurants were closed...so a decision was made to go to The Darjeeling! Hadn't been there before and can say may not be in a hurry to go again! Food and service was on par with other places but not on my fav list...!
