Lovely park, big park. I visited a playgroup on this occasion. No busy, well maintained, seats available, picnic tables too. Free parking, brilliant for walking or dog walking. I've seen just a little bit today. Plenty more to explore next time
Absolutely lovely park- not too big- easily walkable due to payment walking strip made all around it. There were a lot of dog walkers- so it is a lovely park for one and all. There is also a small children’s play area next to the car parking. There is a single Car parking which is free, so please put ‘Darenth Country Park car park’ on Google map when you drive here. There is no coffee cafe/restaurant that we could spot during our visit. Beautiful views of the A2 from the park- so its a lovely feel being on the other side of the world, and watching car zoom past at a distance. It looked beautiful in February winter- and I can only imagine its glamor when the spring /summer arrives. Would visit again. Playground: Loads of open green spaces- well maintained grass. Dog-friendliness: It is a dog friendly park- with loads of bins for the same. Picnic area: Yes, loads of space for a picnic- lovely views of A2
Darenth Country Park boasts a traditional orchard graced with over 150 apple, pear, plum, cherry, and cob nut tree varieties. The larger traditional apple types, such as "Kentish Fillbasket" and "Golden Pippin," flourish at the upper end of the orchard. Towards the opposite end, you'll encounter modern dwarf and semi-dwarf varieties like "Discovery" and "Red Devil." The park's Countryside Rangers and dedicated volunteers actively manage the orchard, fostering a wildflower meadow understory to support biodiversity. Lovely place to enjoy walking around, enjoying nature
Plenty of free parking Plenty of areas to walk the dog and space to let off lead Dog-friendliness: Lots of walks for dogs and a doggy pool for them to swim
Lovely little walk, friendly locals, nice and hilly. Ideal for a short scramble, about 2 miles round walk. Water available for dogs tap and chained metal bowl by the horses at the top of the hill. Plenty of bins for dog waste in the area nearer the car park. Free parking. Don't miss the orchards!
A lovely place to go for a walk any day of the year, or a nice picnic when it's warmer. Great views and loads of empty space to explore. Ample free parking, just remember to leave the car park before it closes in the evening - saw a long list of cars the other day, unable to leave as the entrance was locked, and had to wait for more than an hour!
a great place to escape the city and breathe some fresh air
Brilliant park. I wish I had visited years ago when I moved into the area. Lots of great walks and points of interest. Great for kids of all ages and dog walkers. Apple trees to pick your own Horses to look at Great views Ideal for a picnic and hang out We had a great hilly run tonight with lots of friendly people around. Will definitely go back for a bit more of an explorer
Quiet area for an evening walk with small kids play area
