"We’ve been big fans of this wonderful pub for many years, its traditional country charm, friendly atmosphere and reputation for great food and ales has made it a destination for all in Swanton Morley and beyond. Darbys has quenched the thirst and filled the bellies of individuals, couples and families since 1988, and also served as a community hub for local clubs and groups. You may know us, Steve Garner and Jane Howard, from our other pub, The Cock in Dereham."

Nice large car park with one delicatessen and one butcher's to one side. Building restored some years ago. Not used too eating a dinner off a wooden board with fat pouring from the fish when cut.
I've always loved the atmosphere of this pub, although since it got refurbished and the toilets were ripped out and changed for what looks like 'school toilets' it's lost its spark. The food was really disappointing, I had steak and ale suet pudding, only half was edible as it had been 'cooked' in a microwave and was over done and the pastry was like rock.. The waitress was fab though vicky no complaints there . I'll be returning maybe for a pint but will give the food a miss...
Pro's - Nice Sunday roast very tasty albeit overdone chewy beef - Good value for money Con's - We sat upstairs, it's not very nice compared to downstairs, and we walked past plenty of available tables downstairs - Sunday is Roast only!? We were not offered starters, no kids meals, only kids roast. - We were only offered two roast options, beef or pork, same for kids. - No cracking with Roast pork. Imo if you're only going to offer two dishes they need to be off the scale perfect, but they are not.
Really disappointed.. Visited for the first time in a few years and the quality and value has disappeared.. portions are poor, waiting times were ridiculous and then when the pizza arrived it wasn't what was ordered Gatherer was ordered... Won't be going back again
Lovely pub, nice food. We had a large party that came in without booking. We ordered pizzas which they cook from scratch. We didn't have to wait too long for these. Drinks prices are also very reasonable. Only downside pizzas could be a little cheaper as they are quite small for the price. Besides that we enjoyed our time here and the children loved the play area.
Very good and dog friendly in the bar. Busy with a good atmosphere. We all ordered different dishes and they were all very good. Definitely recommend.
Lovely meal Pub warm and friendly with both locals and tourists. Menu allows for pensioner portions at great reduction. Beautiful decking areas Facility for children to play Great beers Great parking. Staff very welcoming and obliging . Would highly recommend Lovely location
Popped in for a drink on Saturday afternoon. Nice pub, nice atmosphere, friendly staff and locals. Didn't eat but food looked nice. Sat in marquee in beer garden.
Had lunch there today, burger was very poor, surrounded by no less than 5 dogs at one point, awful piped muzak no sundae spoons for my sweet. Frankly over priced and disappointing compared to other places in the area. The young staff serving were excellent though.
Cannot speak highly enough of Derbys. ALL the staff are genuinely so helpful, happy and nice. The food is outstanding in quality. Our party of 12 booked in advance and Racheal organised us superbly. A big thank you to you all. Look forward to visiting you again!
