Large mixed grill was nice, good portion size. The chicken pakora and the mango lassi were also good. However, the naan was over cooked and hard not soft. Good restaurant layout, family friendly. Staff are friendly and helpful also. I would recommend this place.
When I was working at the Royal Free Hospital I’d come here on some Fridays with colleagues and enjoy a good grub. I loved the lahori fish and chips and donner wraps. This place was definitely good for a work lunch as it had a good atmosphere and it also had outdoor seating which was handy in the summer.
Visited 19th March 22 . Very Clean and tidy restaurant very friendly and professional service. Ordered a variety of food very tasty and well cooked. Ordered tikka biryani mixed grill lamb karahi special, saag gosht, chicken shawarma, naan. Everything tasted amazing. Will definitely be visiting again InshaAllah. Thank you to the Dar grill team for an amazing service.
Lovely food and very good & friendly service. Tarka daal, chicken tikka biryani, peshwari naan were excellent. Reasonable prices too.
I was craving authentic Lahore food - this place was recommended. The chicken, lamb curry were good and the naan was exceptional. The sheesh kebabs were good too. The only slight let down was my chicken biryani, a little too much desi ghee or oil and a tad too much shaan biryani spice. I also had a non masala fish. I liked it, but the Coley Pollock might not be to everyone's liking.
Love this place for eat in or takeaway -- the grilled chicken is delicious and great value. And the daals never disappoint, the Tarka Daal has great balance of flavours and the Masr is really nice and garlicky. Great local!
I really enjoyed my meal it very fresh and authentic with loads of flavour. The staff were very polite and accommodating and catered to our individual spice tolerances. It's definitely one of the best Indian meals I have eaten at a restaurant. I will definitely go again as many other dishes I would love to try.
Please don’t be put off by the decor! I visited Dar’s with 8 friends, each of us having regularly eaten in Indian restaurants for about 40 years, and we all agreed the food was amongst the best curries we have ever eaten! Highly recommended.
Good restaurant for desi food. Wide selection of famous and not so famous dishes is available. Atmosphere can be a bit better and if couple of items I ordered were served hot, I would have given 5 stars.
Dar’s Grill is located in the heart of Hampstead Heath’s South End Green. The waiter was impressively welcoming, knowledgeable of the menu and made expert suggestions. The food was great and really good value for money. The atmosphere of the restaurant was good too, they play a selection of local tunes to really make the theme stand out. Thank you very much.
