PROS AND CONS PROS: Fantastic place for not only a food experience but a cultural experience. This is a location I’ve been going to since I was a kid, roughly around 2006-2010. This business has grown in popularity and they still have the same customer service practice and quality. Coming from a customer who has Asian heritage, this kind of food really feels authentic. The flavours are super strong ranging from spicy to mild. Most of the food is shareable size so bring a date or a group of people. In the summer they have their patio section opened which really is a perfect place to eat on a nice summer day in Toronto. CONS: This place only has room for like six cars in their parking lot. It is extremely cramped and can be difficult to weave in and out. You likely have to pay to park on the street or go park far in the nearby residential streets The washroom tend to be dirty and lacks proper cleaning. It makes it hard to ignore even if the rest of the experience is fantastic.
This was our first time since Covid. The food and atmosphere was better than I remembered. To start the service was incredible. She was extremely friendly, kind and attentive as were other staff who came to ask how we were doing. We ordered two butter chicken, basmati rice, two butter naan, two garlic naan, and two chicken and beef kebabs. If you want to add more heat you can has for there hot peppers. They have a beautiful yogurt sauce to cool things off also. We had food left over that we took home. Be mindful that they’re servicing a go along way. A very clean, friendly family environment.
Amazing food as always, glad they are open again for business. After trying Pakistani/Indian cuisine throughout the GTA, I can confidently say Lahore Tikka House and the Tikka food truck are amongst the top 5 best restaurants I’ve tried of that cuisine. Not only is the food amazing, Adam and the rest of the staff are extremely attentive to detail and go out of their way to provide the best experience possible. Highly recommended!
Easily the best Pakistani food in Toronto. Authentic taste and interior decor. We loved the long list of items available on the menu. Lots of seating options available including outdoor seating. The staff seemed overwhelmed with orders and there could be a wait for your order to arrive. We had to call out the staff few times to remind them about our order. Other than that the food was mind blowing. If you like spicy and hot south Asian food then this is the place to be. Be ready to spend though as it’s not cheap. But it’s worth every penny!
The place is dirty! You have to pay at the counter right after you order! Take your order yourself, walk with that stick with number on it ! The washrooms are extremely dirty Food is not bad if I don’t consider that they serve us cold rice ! We asked for water and fork at least 5 times ,at the end we had to call the manager ‍ When she try to explain that the staff went to the basement for water! As Castumer I don’t need to know all that Overall this place neeed sooo much work on their staff which have no clue what they’re doing! Also for the price they charge the portions are kind of small !
We ordered chicken and beef shikh kebab with naan and white rice. Kebabs were really good. Its a halal restaurant. Ambience is also fine dine and they have also high chairs available for kids. Overall its a great experience.
I love trying different countries food and when I feel to eat curry and other meat/veggies dishes; I like to go Lahore Tikka house. Their patio setup reminds me off highway street food of Pakistan experience As a foodie I try all type of restaurants and mostly street food brings me a feeling of wow I love it! Enjoy the sizzling veggie platter “good for 4 people”
The restaurant has got a good seating capacity and a parking plot, I guess that is pretty much the good part about it. They have different rules there, you only get a table if everyone is present. One needs to go to the counter every-time they want to order anything. We ordered 3 different appetizers and they took the liberty to put everything in the same dish. Biryani didn’t taste like Biryani but more like a tangy masala rice. The meat in the Nihari was tender but the taste was pretty much average. The garlic from the garlic naan was all down in the dish and not on the naan. I don’t say that I do not recommend the place but I had high expectations from the place and it is pretty much average.
We finally got the chance to try this special , old and popular desi restaurant at gerrad st. The food was good , ambience was amazing , the only thing we felt was they were out of food options like chicken tikka , chana masala , daal gosht - so we ended up ordering lamb curry / karhai - taste was great and authentic + naans were good too . The price is slightly on higher side - we ended up ordering what we could afford. Dietary restrictions: Halal
This place lives up to its “Best Pakistani Restaurant in Toronto” easily not just in food but also in excellent service. We went to the place, it was so packed and we were like 8th or 9th on the waiting list with a 25 min wait time. Like all other we didn’t mind waiting but the way the greeter actually made sure every time a table was free the transition was smooth, also went as much as making impromptu tables to ensure everyone can be served on time. When we were seated way sooner than we expected, the service was just wonderful. Food was delicious. Best chicken kebabs I have had ever. Would recommend anyone passing by Gerrad street to visit even if the wait time can be long it will definitely be worth it.
