Story

Daphne’s is a local restaurant with an international following, popular with Chelsea residents but a destination for visitors from around the world. Opened in 1964 by theatre agent Daphne Rye, who discovered Richard Burton and developed the careers of Kenneth More and Honor Blackman, Daphne’s quickly became one of London's most fashionable haunts and has scarcely faltered since. The appeal lies not only in its carefully-sourced seasonal Italian country cooking, but also in its natural warmth and effortless charm. This chic, understated restaurant is a delight all year round: in summer, the conservatory roof opens to create an alfresco feel; in winter, a blazing fire in the open brick hearth turns it into an intimate retreat. Daphne’s has a sister restaurant on Paynes Bay in St James, Barbados.

Probably worthwhile going just to see the Christmas decorations!!! Service is very good, formal but not overwhelming. Good wine selection. Food is up to standards for the price. Well cook well presented.
Great service and food - we enjoyed our octopus carpaccio, burrata and lamb so soft!. Lively yet not too noisy atmosphere. Enjoyed every minute. Definitely going back - although it’s not cheap!

Hands down one of the best place I've been to for an occasion. Staff were 10/10 food was seriously so good 10/10 location is very good as well. & The atmosphere is top notch. If you are looking to take someone out for a meal or a occasion then 100000% you need to visit this place.
Amazing place to meet friends and quite intimate for a date too. The staff is fantastic and the dishes are simply exceptional. try the truffle risotto accompanied by a red wine. You will not regret.
A really lovely, delicious and enjoyable meal in every respect. Great service, helpful friendly and attentive. Felt really comfortable with the covid precautions, and temperature was taken at the door.
Food was lovely and the drinks were great. The staff is very attentive and friendly. Outstanding service. I definitely recommend this place.
