Refurbished from a no longer used tennis pavilion, the cafe owners had to persuade the council to lease the property. Now a thriving cafe which has brought jobs, great food and drink to the park and preserved a historic building. Clientele is varied although squeezed a little more to mums, children and grannies. Clean and accessible toilets, 10 tables inside, 3 outside under cover. Muzak, but at very low level. Really free WiFi (no sign up) but slower than most mobile 3G. A selection of home made savoury lunches and snacks accompanied by a great selection of cakes and tray bakes to go with well made locally roasted coffee. Staff extremely friendly, helpful and service is prompt without being pushy. Quality of food and beverages is very good and caters for a varieties of dietary requirements. Recommend for a lazy afternoon break or to grab a take away coffee and cake from the outside take away counter to eat in the park.

We popped for a quick coffee and wee bite to eat and it was really busy but as always the staff were very helpful and polite and quick
