The T2 lounge finally reopened! This is a pretty decent lounge, with a basic selection of drinks wines, beers, spirits, soft drinks and cold food. There are three side rooms and a bathroom. The space is very small, especially for an airport terminal like Dublin's T2, so it quickly gets packed, even very early in the morning.
My experience at Terminal 2 Lounge at Dublin Airport was fairly average. The lounge is decently sized and has a variety of seating options, including comfortable chairs and tables. The food and drink options at the lounge were decent, but nothing really stood out as exceptional. There were some hot dishes available, but they were a bit underwhelming in terms of taste and quality. The drinks selection was fairly standard, with a few options for beer and wine. The lounge also offers some basic amenities, such as free Wi-Fi and access to newspapers and magazines. Overall, I would say that Terminal 2 Lounge at Dublin Airport is a decent option if you need a place to sit and wait for your flight. However, if you're looking for a more luxurious or memorable lounge experience, you may want to consider other options.
Small bright lounge. With friendly staff. Soup available with sandwiches during the day. In the morning porridge is available. Plenty of soft and alcoholic drinks at self service counter. Nice place to spend a few hours.
30 euro per person, free drinks and snacks. Best time to visit is from 10.30am to 12.30pm two hours max. That way you can treat yourself to breakfast up to 11am and lunch after 11.30am. Choice of juices. breads and cereals for breakfast. Choice of soup, sandwiches and salads for lunch. Self-service. Not very plush or upmarket, quite ordinary really. Would need to top up on alcohol choice of wine, beer, spirits and minerals to get full value for the 30 euro. Popular with families and well-behaved children. Not sure that I would come again. A little disappointed by the experience overall. Certainly not VIP.
Small and crowded, lack of seating , and what seating is there is very uncomfortable. limited food and drink, the food was dried up, looked like it had been left out for hours, in the 3 hours we were there, the food was not replenished, no charging sockets were working, we had to ask the guy at reception if we could charge our phones at reception desk, he finally agreed to do it after a 5 minute argument of us telling him we paid for the service. Don't waste your money in this place!
Airports are never the nicest places to hangout. My time today was distinctly average, the flight was delayed so I got some extra time to access the facilities. The eating establishments are too small and few for the airport capacity, the toilets are also inadequate and I believe the cleaners were on leave. I hope you all have a better experience than me, happy flying.
The lounge was a sorry sight on arrival on a Sunday afternoon: piles of used crockery on every table, filthy toilets, barely any free seats, no clean glasses left. The high-density layout also gives a messy, chaotic impression. Within 30 minutes though, the lounge had emptied out and become more comfortable. The buffet/bar area is compact, but the selection of food and drinks is surprisingly extensive. The only hot food was a soup. The lounge does have some great features, especially a few separate rooms: one with large TV showing sport; another with good desks and a printer; another in a quiet corner. Absolutely no furniture is suitable for trying to sleep in.
Staff nice but queues unbelievable I was seriously concerned about missing flight despite being there several hours before my flight. We were a family of 8 and it was impossible to check in online, so we had to queue to check in to check in our 10 kilos and pay for two suitcases we were unable to add in online. Panicking like that at the start of a holiday is really not good for one's heart or those that have to listen to a stressed out Mum.
Fast track was excellent with a pleasant person on the belt. However, we were not impressed with the lack of food outlets. We appreciate that the Airport was busy but some proper provision should be put in place to cater for the passengers using the Terminal.
This lounge is a bit of a improvement from the lounge at T1, although the same cold limited food is available. The main improvement is open, self serve bar as oppose to serviced, 2 drinks per person bar at T1. Also the views are better, as you can see the planes taking off. However in terms of cleanliness, lounge at T2 is dirtier, cutlery, plates, soul bowls are barely rinsed, not washed. Really unacceptable having to wash sticky cutlery with hand sanitiser. Is it really that difficult to run a clean, classy lounge?
