Pretty impressed with the play area - especially the equipment which is designed specifically for people in wheel chairs. Lots of variety and a great distraction for my youngest whilst the eldest was playing football. Be warned: on a busy Saturday there was not enough room for all the cars in the carpark so we had to park elsewhere.
Amazing inclusive park well loved but mostly well maintained. It is so lovely to have wheelchair and "disability friendly" equipment alongside more mainstream stuff meaning everyone can play together
The Island was amazing for me, an anti-car person, as cars are banned from the whole island. It's easy to circumnavigate on a bicycle and the views from the granite coast amazing. The lighthouse / museum would also have been interesting but it was closed. The Auberge de Jeunesse was very basic but relatively cheap and the young people who were staying there were interesting to talk to. On the whole a basic experience but quite enjoyable off season.
Its fab park for dog walking, plenty space for dogs to run and fetch games. It has benches to chill. Its great place for family picnics on warm days. It has play ground for children along with sand pit, it has special needs equipement for wheelchair users can able go on swing, slide etc its excellent! Such an amazing park!
Free parking, toilets open between 7 and 7 hidden park in the corner of the field great and not busy
Our disabled daughter and 2 boys enjoyed playing in the Play Area. Everything was adapted and accessible, catering for various needs and abilities. She particularly enjoyed the wheelchair swing and roundabout. Our boys enjoyed being able to enjoy the park with their sister. The surrounding grounds looked amazing, open green areas with lots of shade from trees. Car Park and public toilets available. Impressive for what appears to be a public facility.
Walk our dogs regularly at this park. Has lots of open space and some trees for shade if needed. Also very close to access the river walk.
Lovely green space for wandering, dog walking, picnicking.. Fabulous, fully accessible play area - I'd recommend this for people of all ages and abilities.
Lovely park with two separate play areas for children, football pitches, toilets and wooded area. Great for dog walking. However, on my last three visits during daytime in the week, there have been no parking spaces available, even though there were only about six other people in the park with their dogs! I don't know whether people park there and then walk into town to work but it was very unusual.
Great big area for walking for the dog. There is a park for the kids which is also suitable for disabled children. Great area for playing rugby/football/cricket/outdoor exercise.
