If your a 67 year old pensioner with your wife stranded with a puncture 6 miles from your destination a bikeshop would be a good place to find. Think again, he doesn't take repairs off the street, we could leave it with him but!!! he had a big job in the back. What a helpful person / bike shop!!!!!!! We had to push the bike with a puncture to our destination along quite a dangerous road.

I found Martin extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He listened to what I wanted to achieve and created a fantastic bike for me to my specification. I am 14 stone and have regularly broken spokes in my rear wheels - he suggested building wheels with 36 spokes to suit my needs and although I haven't ridden many miles yet I haven't had a murmur from them. Martin has created me a fantastic Audax bike that rides beautifully and is very comfortable. He spent a long time sizing me and making sure everything was correct for my build and various limb lengths. The service I received far exceeded the service I have previously received at some of the 'big' names where I spent twice as much. Even the colour was chosen by myself which has made my bike feel even more special. Ian

Been a long term customer at Cyclebasket. An easily underestimated cycleshop that's (physically) stocked to the rafters with good quality, functional gear. Martin won't sell you something you don't need and will give you excellent advice on options. If they havent got it in stock,they can get it. Still using wheels I had built by them 15 years ago. A hidden gem that many go out of their way to reach.

Very rude and tries to shut a conversation down as fast as he can and in a way he tries to kick you out of the store
