Out of all the cinemas I have been in this takes the number one spot. £8 for u25 making it just a couple pounds more then Vue and less then odeon. Absolutely amazing, from the service behind the counter to the comfy recliner sofas. Best cinema experience I have had.
Sometimes it feels like you can't visit the Curzon without there being some crisis - but somehow it's still a great experience. Good pizza, wine with your film, what's not to like? Love it
Enjoyed the first experience of Cuzon, served straight away at bar area, ordered drinks and food latter delivered to seats in cinema. Service was friendly and efficient. Suggest getting there at least 10 mins before advertised film start time. Comfortable seats with plenty of leg room screen 2, as a shorter person, no need to worry about people sitting in front of you.
Like most cinemas it has the philosophy of bringing your own food/drink is a cardinal sin, however it's excellent prices of under 25 tickets at £5 will always bring me back in. Charming atmosphere with friendly staff. Very clean toilets with a selection of soap and moisturiser which speaks to the care they have for the environment they create. I will always choose a Curzon cinema when available
Can be a little tricky to find if you don't already know where it is in the shopping centre don't recommend searching for it in the rain. The Pizzas are flatbreads and I would say to avoid the Nachos as they were a potent combo of burnt and cold. Staff were helpful and they will bring the orders to your seats. The seats recline slightly for a bit more comfort. Place was really clean and well laid out inside
A good cinema idea, on the expensive side. Screens are good, the toilets are not always clean, and the corridor hallway areas feel a little unkept. Staff are friendly and approachable.
Interesting range of films on, stylish, and a nice bar. Not the cheapest cinema but feels like more of an evening out than a multiplex. Love it.
Went to watch movie with my family. Nice experience. Clean seats and toilets. Not very crowded. Staff was very friendly. Planning to visit again.
Was really looking forward to experiencing this cinema. After reading all the fantastic reviews. Negatives. The till area doesn't display any nachos or sweets. It's mainly a bar and coffee set up with a small popcorn counter. No ice cream etc. It is such a large open area and they have the smallest space dedicated to selling real cinema food. Where is the sweets? Nachos? Why don't you offer buttered popcorn? Tye perception you have before you arrive is this place is a new trendy forward thinking cinema. But I was left thinking it lacked the organisation and talent to even get the basics right. The downstairs bar and counter was closed. On a Sunday. The set up was really awkward. If u order food and drinks upstairs you have to go down stairs juggling hot drinks. Why don't you have the downstairs counters open and direct people there? The floors had popcorn littered about downstairs. Seems like the management don't keep on top off appearances. There was no one downstairs to check tickets. I'm only writing this review because I want you to improve I am not here to batter you with suggestions. But Vue and odeon deliver on being a cinema first. I get the feeling you are trying to be a coffee house and chill place for young generations to congregate within a cinema. Upstairs for coffee and downstairs if you want to catch a film. Also we weren't told if we could have food delivered to our seats. I only noticed when a staff member brought someones. So your missing out on potential upselling to customers. The whole customer process is really disjointed. I hope you improve as I want to come back. And see what the real Curzon experience is all about. Positives. Cinema seating is great. Nice internal layout and large screens.
I attended your venue tonight to watch the 20:30 screening of the Black panther. I left my house with the sole intention of uplifting my sprits as my mental health was suffering. I arrived at your establishment excited to watch the movie and take my mind off of some things, I’ve newly moved to Oxford and was also looking forward to bringing my son to your cinema. I approached the desk and asked for a ticket to see the movie, I was told that it was £11 something for an adult ticket I placed down two notes £5/£10, the cashiers then said to me is that £10 pounds I replied no it is £15 pounds. I then asked the cashier for some sweet popcorn, he replied and said to me our small popcorn is such and such price and our large popcorn is such and such, I remember them being a pound difference. He then said to me that I look like I have no money. I was flabbergasted to say the least, I proceeded to tell him that I am offended by that comment and he replied that he was sorry, I asked him how can he say that to a person and who taught him his customer service. He apologised again and I paid him £15 cash and £3 via card, as I walked away I tasted the popcorn to realise that he also gave me the wrong popcorn on top of the embarrassment I already felt in front of other customers. I asked to speak to the manager and a young man approached that wasn’t much help and offered to refund me the price of the popcorn, at this point I was so embarrassed and upset that I couldn’t even accept what he was saying so walked away hoping that the movie would soothe my anguish. Sad to say it didn’t and this in turn has affected my mental state with me feeling worse than I did before I left the house. I do not know what caused him to think I did not have enough money, however I have to believe that there was a racial element to his assumption as, I am a black man. I was not dressed badly, in a clean tracksuit new trainers and a designer puffer jacket. I do not know how this review will be perceived However I believe that if it helps, this not happen to another person of colour I will be happy, my entire experience was ruined. I am a mature man that carries myself with respect and dignity and they were both taken from me for a short period this evening. I also work in the hospitality industry and I would never dream of speaking to someone like that.
