Dr Kamali took my blood for a DVLA test, she didn’t label the sample. !?! I now need to do the test again, meanwhile no license. I have to go here as it’s a DVLA appointed surgery. God help us.
Overall not too bad. But one reception staff, Sarah Twinton is extremely rude and unhelpful. She's more of a hassle than a convenience to patients, no professionalism, she has no idea being a receptionist, how the appointments are booked. No manners at all and she tries to be personal and misuses her position as a receptionist to give patients a hard time.
Have been with the surgery since the mid 80’s and have generally been very satisfied. It’s NHS with all the limitations that entails but they do their best to schedule and prioritise when necessary. Recent communication and scheduling treatment with regard to my painful osteoarthritis and other conditions has been excellent. My especial thanks to Dr Dobson and GP Registrar Dr Vickers not forgetting Dr Bonsall and his patience with my persistent second guessing.
Doctor Kamali was excellent, she was really caring, understanding, friendly and incredibly fast with the procedure. I needed my coil replacing and she also did my smear test and took my bloodwork on the same appointment, which saved me a lot of time. I didn't catch the nurse's name but she was also great, took my blood in a second and was very friendly.
This GP is proof of the state of the NHS. You wait 2 hours on a queue to then get told you need to call at 8am on Monday because there's no more appointments. You can't book through the NHS app because it never shows available appointments, even in a month's time, and you're then sent to the Waterside GP.nWhen my boyfriend had a hole in his leg and needed daily cleaning and treatment of his wound by a GP nurse, the GP didn't have any nurses on several days of the week. What was his option? They don't know, they suggest Waterside but Waterside also don't have nurses every day. Then your last resort is Warwick's hospital where the nurses told us for him to not come in December because he will wait all day and not get seen, since his issue is very low priority. What did we do? I had to ask the nurse at the GP, lovely woman, to teach me how to do the cleaning and treatment myself. This was a deep hole on the leg, where if I touch the wrong thing, he would feel immense pain.nnDoes this sound like a situation that should happen? It's shameful, people are left to rot unless they have a partner or family that can step in. I haven't had bad experiences with the staff, the nurses are incredible, the people on the phone sometimes are a bit grumpy but manageable, the doctors are fine. The people that I have interacted with here are not at fault for this, but are the ones that need to deal with our complaints when the NHS system is failing them and the patients.
