The building is clean, modern, light and airy and the lady on reception friendly. My mother-in-law was discharged from hospital and spent 3 weeks there. Sadly the interaction between her and the carers was the bare minimum. She spent 90% of her time in bed, in a room at the end of a corridor, where there was no passing footfall. She is blind and felt totally isolated. She felt intimidated by carers who berated her for ringing for help with personal care. We raised the issue with the manager who made no apology and no attempt to feedback on our concerns. She had to leave because the care home was unable to meet her care needs.nShe is now in another care home where the staff treat her with patience and care. She is only in bed during the night, gets dressed for the day and eats her meals with other residents. Staff regularly come to her room to chat with her.nIt is difficult to believe how 2 care homes can be so different.
It's lovely home and best option those who look for a care home for their loved ones. As a staff I would truly recommend and qurantee about the care and well-being of every person. The staffs and the management are the true pillars of cherry tree Lodge. I'm very happy also it's a pleasure to write about my own work place.
My grandad Victor Woodier lived here for nearly two years after not being able to live independently anymore. He absolutely loved it here from the moment he arrived and we were made to feel so welcome from the beginning from all of the staff at Cherry tree. You’re made to feel part of a family and always made to feel welcome whenever you go whether that’s to visit or events that take place.nnTo say the carers go above and beyond is an understatement especially Sonat who is an absolute legend and was adored by my grandad. The difference with Cherry Tree is everyone works as a team it’s very much a team effort and it really shows. The cleaners always do a brilliant job and the room was always spotless. Also hats off to Rosie and Monique for putting together fabulous events and trips out, which he loved going to. Also Sinead who’s now the manger is the most approachable and caring person.nnWould highly recommend to anyone who’s looking for a care home for their loved ones as they really put you at ease knowing they’ll be looked after well. It really takes the stress of you.nnOnce again thank you so much to all of the staff at Cherry Tree lots of love Victor Woodiers family x
I came into to Cherry Tree Lodge after working in a different industry and I absolutely love this home. I'm so please I made the change. This home is becoming one of the best homes locally and I am so proud to be have a chance to work here and change people's lives for the better. The residents are a highlight to my day and the staff give their all every single day.
My mother is very happy there. The staff are very caring and nothing is too much trouble.nThe rooms are clean and comfortable, and the food is really good.nnResidents are taken into the garden, weather permitting, and activities are provided to keep them occupied.nnMy mother has thanked us for finding her such a lovely place to live.
