The food has gone down hill, I don’t know if there is a new cook, but I don’t think I will using these again. The food was swimming in grease on the plate, it had to be binned. These use to be the best Chinese in Long Eaton, but they have now lost that spot. I will give them 6 months to improve and try again and update my review. Let’s hope they improve.

Can I just say I've been using crystal house for a few years. I've had good meals and some not quite so good but tonight was just the best I've ever had. I had duck chow mein chips curry sauce and a pancake roll. My wife had the same but hers was chicken it wasn't greasy at all it was a pleasure to eat. You guys should be proud of yourselves tonight a a massive thanks to the chef who made it. Will definitely stay using them from now on. Thanks guys Kev Maxwell
Moved to long Eaton a year ago. Tried this place way back when moving in and have been coming back regularly. Food is always piping hot, fresh and delicious whilst being made to order in a very fast time frame. Pricing is very good too, quite the average cost of a Chinese takeaway meal. Staff are friendly and polite. Will continue to come back.
Always have Chinese from here . And normally lovely But bit of a let down tonight . Not sure if different chef tonight but not to it's usual standard .
I've been a customer since the fantastic Willow Tree days. The food has been going downhill since it changed hands and I've been going there less and less. Tonight was the last straw. They've changed the curry recipe beyond recognition. My curry wasn't the slightest bit spicy and had a very strong tomato taste. Just like how you'd imagine Italians would make a curry. Yuk. Nothing like it used to be. The final straw? They've changed the pancake rolls from the big delicious beauties they used to be, to awful thin things. I chucked most of my dinner away. Never again. Two stars for old times sake only.

Have been coming here over 25+ years and never had a bad Chinese meal UNTIL they sold the business a couple months back and the last three times the food has been undercooked, rice still frozen or certain dishes being cold in the middle. Myself and quite a few other regulars have all now found somewhere else. Will never go here again. I wouldn't even give this a 1 star if I had the choice
Still the best Chinese food locally. Always was the best and still is. Great food, great service.
Food has been steadily going downhill for a couple of years. I’ve been eating their since 1980. However, they get the order wrong regularly, miss thing off, and last weekend sent my order twice, after the first order was again wrong. Won’t be returning so looking for recommendations to try a new place.
