Tom was great, my shoulder injury is fixed after a few sessions and he has helped me adapt my training to avoid it happening again. He has a nice friendly manner and clearly has a lot of knowledge and experience, he was able to pinpoint what was wrong with my shoulder very quickly and the exercises he gave me have fixed the issue, made me stronger, and given me the confidence to get back to my activities. Would definitely recommend!
Had a shoulder issue and Tom was great at supporting my transition to being able to train in the gym again. He keeps exercises varied and makes plans based on what type of exercise you plan on doing in the future so that you are best prepared once recovered. Highly recommend!
Absolutely brilliant physiotherapist! He will try really hard to tailor the exercise to your needs and your lifestyle so you can benefit from it the most. He was extra patient with me and my inconsistency and found a way for me to get just the right amount of exercise for what my knee needed. He's very kind and understanding, guided me through ups and downs of my recovery and set up a path for my own work in later months. I've got a lot of extra tips about some small injuries I got in the meantime and how I could avoid them when being hypermobile and loving climbing. As a climber himself he could give me heaps of knowledge on how to continue enjoying it in a safe manner. I'd definitely recommend Tom to anyone who needs a tailored approach in their rehab.
I have been working with Tom since November 2020 and have just had what I expect to be my final session. The experience has been brilliant from start to finish. Tom is really knowledgeable and passionate about what he does. He clearly set out not just a plan of exercises but the theory behind it and how to build it in in a way that allowed me to continue some degree of climbing and training throughout. Because of this I was able to trust the process even when early progress felt a little slow only due to my impatience Each session would test my progress and then would build in new exercises as my injury healed and strength improved. Each time we did this, I was able to see a noticeable improvement which has steadily brought me to the point where I am sure that with the last set of exercise, I will be to a point where my wrist is far stronger, healthier and less likely to be injured in the future. Not only this but I feel it has improved my knowledge of how to approach training and recovery in general which I can carry over into all aspects of Climbing and other sports. Tom responded to the challenges of the pandemic brilliantly and I always felt safe when attending the clinic as he put a thorough set of procedures in place for the safety of both of us. I would wholeheartedly recommend Tom to anyone seeking a Physiotherapist but especially so if you are a climber. As a climber himself, everything came from the view point of someone who understands the sport and the mentality of those who are serious about it. Goals were always relative to getting me back on the rock feeling stronger, healthier and pain free. Thank you Tom!
I have had a couple of appointments over the years to address some persistent little injuries, and to get advice on how to improve my strength and training regime to support my climbing. Tom is warm, professional and very good at what he does. It is clear that he has a great deal of knowledge. I would highly recommend Crux for anyone who needs a physio, particularly if you are a climber and want someone with a high level of specialist knowledge and a passion for the sport. 5 stars!
Just had my first session with Tom and I can't recommend him and his service highly enough. Very knowledgeable, and thorough as well as very welcoming and easy going. Very clearly explanation of what needs doing and at home and will be following this progress up in 3 weeks time. Many thanks Tom!!
Can’t recommend Tom enough. He’s super knowledgeable, helpful and has helped we work through a elbow issue. Will certainly return for any future issues!
I visited Crux physiotherapy with a tendon problem. I would highly recommend this business to anyone, not only but especially those with climbing related injuries. Booking an appointment was easy, the service was friendly and professional and I will definitely be back there if needed again in future.
Tom is a fantastic physiotherapist. Very Professional, knowledgeable and thorough. But also warm and friendly and good at putting you at ease when approaching injuries.
I’d had a long term case of climbers elbow in both arms and was wondering if my climbing days were over. Thanks for all your help Tom. It’s so great to be climbing again:
