Good food, staff were really nice! They have scissors for sauce packets and a basket for period emergencies in the female bathroom they should do this in the male one too
Great experience. I had Thai salmon and monkfish curry, the fish was perfectly cooked, very succulent. Lovely atmosphere. Great staff. Highly recommend
Absolute delight this beautiful little pub.. we called by on our way back for yorkshire.. its just off the Yarm turn off.. if you are looking for somewhere to stop off... this is the place!! Lovely old country pub feel.. the food omg!! Is unreal every thing is home cooked and can tell it has been cooked with love.. we will defo be making the journey from home newcastle Just to visit here again..
We had 2 beautiful meals, it was our first time visiting but definitely not the last, the staff were nice and chatty and everything/ everyone asking for something it wasn't a task 100% to all staff and chief
Sunday lunch in The Crown has always been great, but today's meal was exceptional. The meat was succulent and the veg was fresh and beautifully cooked the roast potatoes tasted like they must have been cooked by angels. The service was efficient and friendly, as always, and extra gravy was provided as soon as it was requested. Everyone around the table agreed the meal was wonderful. Those of us who had desserts were equally impressed and I don't even think I have the words to describe just how good my apple and blackberry crumble tasted.
Fantastic food, fantastic staff and fantastic atmosphere. Put simply just fantastic!

The food was absolutely delicious, service and staff very good, very busy, reasonable prices, I recommend this place.
Open log fire. Deep pile carpets. Good menu. Freshly prepared. Well served. Great puds. Jam sponge & custard..Bread & Butter pudding and custard. Will be back!
