As a bike rider of many years, I chose to refuel at this petrol station a week ago. As I positioned my bike aside the pump, both feet planted and side stand deployed for safety, I opened the tank cap and was getting ready to fill up when a lady came over and told me I must get off the bike to refuel! I explained that if I set the bike on its stand, the bike would be leant over so much that I'd be unable to fill the tank. I explained that I'd been filling my bike tanks for years and years this was....everyone does. She was adamant, and got her boss over to re-state that I must get off the bike to refuel....no reason as to why was given, other than "it's new ownership at the garage, and this was their rules." I promptly put the key back in the ignition and rode off to the next filling station to refuel....as normal! Suffice to say...I'll NOT be back!
Staff always friendly. The 24/7 service credit card only must be a god send for those late/ early hours travelers on the A75 . It is a little bit awkward to get to some of the pumps if in a big vehicle or if you have a trailer.
Staff are friendly and 24 hours handy, the one major issue is the location. Getting access to the pumps is a task in itself during opening hours, and on Market days is a near impossible task. Unfortunately there is no easy solution other than parking up on the road blocking traffic to wait your turn. Edited: From 3 Star to 4 star clicked wrong star P.S thanks for reply, and fully understand the circumstances, I hope I didn't offend as this wasn't my intention.
Claims to be 24 hour, however when I turn up early in the morning around 6 it's not, happened to me on more than one occasion end up going out of my way to either kirkcudbright or dalbeatie. Not acceptable!
Only thing I can say is that it was to small a filling station, tight squeeze. Cars queing up onto the main road.
