Let’s not forget the outdoor play area. You can do swings and slides at the park anytime. They’re nowhere near as exciting as a big wooden train the kids can climb into!That’s just the beginning. I visited for a few beers and something to eat. Really great service. The food was really good.
My partner challenged me to create a Michelin star dish On a more serious note, we were served by the incredibly attentive Chris who made the experience even nicer! Expertly cooked cauliflower wings and delicious mains. Will be back!
Ate here tonight for the first time. Have lived locally for 6 years but decided to try today. Family of 4 and had a lovely meal. All arrived in a timely manner, decently hot and very tasty. Reasonably sized portions. Friendly service. Ash and Ash were the chefs tonight. Well done. Will come back again soon to try out the puddings.
Was welcomed with a friendly face and shown to our table. We was told about table booking or at the bar service. We decided to book on the app from our table. This was fast and very clear in asking what we would like. Drinks were brought to us very quickly and again with a friendly face. Then the food arrived which was lovely and hot and looked fantastic.
Such great friendly staff with lots of choices for food and drink...brilliant. Had the special brunch and it was amazing.
Party of 6 with no booking arrived late afternoon. Easy to read menu's with good choice of food. The place was clean and tidy, and we had a table in a quite area which was nice as there was a few drinkers celebrating in the bar area. The food was tasty good sized potions and came very quickly. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable
Visited over bank holiday weekend whilst travelling down visiting family with our little one, just happened to stumble across the place on the drive, glad we did! Really nice pub from the outside, clean inside and staff were polite, but Paula looked after us like we were her own! Served well, so down to earth yet professional and my young son loved her. Shame she doesn't live closer to home, someone I would try and hire for my establishment.
Myself and my mum are regulars at the Jenny Wren for lunch and we love it when we get served by Jackie. She’s always so helpful, friendly and professional. Her people skills are brilliant. Even when she’s on her own and rushing around, she still manages a friendly smile. We enjoy our time at this establishment, the food is always good and value for money. Please pass on our comment to Jackie because she deserves to know how much her customers appreciate what she does.
Feel wrong giving this place a 3 star but if it could have gone wrong it did. Bar staff were approachable and honest. Pumps blew up, ice cream didn't arrive, kids garlic bread didn't arrive until after chased and eaten rest of starters. Food was great though. Couldn't fault it. Service was not great but team polite and attentive when they arrived. Will be back as its good family pub. Just this time.. Could have done better.
Overall the whole experience was pleasant. Good customer service and quick, friendly staff. The only thing that I would say needed slight improvement would be the temperature of the food... I personally tend to enjoy my food best when it comes out of the kitchen hot. However that aside my food tasted very good which made up for it not being as hot as I like.
