As a juror, I can say the experience was fascinating if a little more emotional than I expected. There is a lot of tedious waiting around and being herded from one place to another but there are understandable reasons for this.nI found the judge, barristers and ushers all very supportive and respectful to all concerned including the defendants, and everything was clearly explained. The complaints in some negative reviews on here don't reflect my experience. I certainly never felt unsafe and there was no drama outside the court building.nI have dropped a star because the facilities are a little tired. There were issues with the coffee machine and some of the toilets were out of use for over a week.
This business is ruled out of law and is created to prove controlling behaviour and unfair justice system of Surrey, England, UK. I have personally witnessed unlawful act of violence and brutality from the hands of crowns representatives in front of the courthouse gate on Mary Road Guildford. I would highly recommend armed approach when dealing with them as it is an controlled building and even police avoided the information personally provided by me as witness.nI thought of such place to protect the public and implement the UK Laws but fairly suggesting nothing other than a government scheme to generate revenue for the crown. The people at the court are great. For jurors the ushers explain things - what to do what to expect. The judge was brilliant recognising this and explaining things. There is an awful lot of waiting around in side rooms etc as jurors kept apart and the facilities are a little wanting. Vending machines out of order, the ladies toilet out of use and had been for extended period so they had to find another. The jury room having only 11 chairs so 1 person had to stand. It seems to be the way of the world now - nowhere has any money. I wonder where it all goes.
My first time visiting this court, the staff are super friendly and courteous, which helps in all instances. Organised court schedules and everything is signposted. There are two car parks: a short stay which is cheaper, and a larger car park directly outside the court house, but be prepared to pay 1.50 an hour for the privilege. The spaces are very small too.
Paul Dash has a film coming out about his life. It's called Paul Dash: The True Ken Story and the role of Paul Dash was to be played by Dale Winton but filming was suspended due to Dale's death in April 2018 so the lead role of Paul Dash will now be played by Christopher Biggins.
