Crowborough Camping and Caravanning Club Site

Story

Our Crowborough Club campsite lies in the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Ashdown Forest, the setting for A.A.Milnes wonderful Winnie the Pooh books is on the doorstep.

London is around 35 miles to the north and the historic spa town of Tunbridge Wells seven miles north west. While the coastal towns of Eastbourne, Brighton and Hastings are around 20 miles away.

The campsite is well laid out. Trees and hedges divide the site giving a more secluded feel in some areas and some sheltered pitches for tent campers. A good range of on-site facilities are available including toilet and showers, a laundry, disabled facilities and a recreation room.

Woodland walks can be enjoyed direct from the campsite and the neighbouring park and leisure centre and swimming pool provide convenient entertainment for younger family members.

Crowborough town is a ten-minute walk from the campsite and offers shops and a good range of places to eat. Visit Tunbridge Wells for its elegant architecture and the Pantiles – a colonnaded walkway where you can browse, shop, eat and stroll.

For family days out visit Bedgebury National Pinetum and Forest, Chiddingstone Caste, The Mill Toy and Pedal Car Museum and The Kent and East Sussex Railway. Biddenden is just one of many Vineyards in the area.

What a stunning and well maintained site! They have a sensible and well thought through late arrivals policy to boot. The staff were all friendly, and lived on site, so have a vested interest in keeping things right. Will definitely be staying again!

Great location. Facilities good. Camping field on a bit of a slope, but not as bad as many.

An attractive, well-run site with easy access for caravans. Pubs, restaurants & chip shop not far away. Bus stop at front connects to Tunbridge Wells or Lewes. We stay here at least twice every year, just because we like it.

Don't camp in the bottom field if rain is predicted. If dry, it's lovely. If not, it's a drain.
