attended with my husband may bank holiday week 2024. What a wonderful calming and welcoming place! The food is excellent, steak cooked according to preference and on a different day I had Cod & Chips. How nice to actually get a large Cod when you order one!!! This establishment is what a good hostelry is supposed to be, welcoming homely and a belly filler. All at a good price, trust me try Swindon prices before you complain.
bloody marvellous, just how pubs used to be. reasonable priced honest food and beer, lots of it 4+ real ales on tap. it was very busy on Sat 16th September, but had a nice friendly vibeFood: 5/5

How refreshing to get honest home cooked food at very reasonable prices. Loved the food and so much better than some of the frozen rubbish served up at certain pub chains! Well done! A great meal and had a few quid left over for a couple extra pints!Food: 5/5
Awful place. Floorboards loose near bar, plasterboard patching up wall near an exit. Barman couldn't give correct change even with the till giving him the correct amount. Glasses dirty. Windows filthy. Outside looks like the Russians had used the gardens for bombing practise before attacking the Ukraine. I won't be going there again.

Simple pie and chips with a beer after a long drive. Filling and tasty good beer and serviceFood: 4/5
Had an OK pie served with tepid mash on a cold plate No one once asked how the food was, they didn't seem to care. They didn't offer the house stout when asked what black beers they had, didn't know or didn't care, so I may never know if that was any good ‍
Excellent service and excellent food really enjoyed it .Good value for money
Never been before, went with good friends and neighbours, who also discovered you since they've moved to the area. Lovely friendly staff, bar and restaurant. Food good. Can't wait to go back. See you at your Christmas Quiz.‍Food: 5/5
