We had crispy fried chicken, and battered mushrooms both really delicious, followed by Fajita pizza. Had to have a pizza box to take one of the pizzas home, as we were too full to eat it all. The staff are friendly and Louise who brought us our food was lovely.
Dropped in on the off chance I could grab a breakfast. Promised an abundance of food and coffee. Lots of food, but didn't manage too much of a second portion for obvious reasons. Found Dylan to be very welcoming and extremely good with customers that I observed him interact with. One very, very minor issue was I didn't realise I was on the clock in terms of having come in so late morning and food being cleared away quite rightly before noon I just didn't know is all. "Met" the chef who was very welcoming too and a warm welcome also provided. Will be back, especially since I ow realise they do have parking but that isn't obvious either though it seems customers may not be aware of need to register their vehicles as I heard some issue over receipt of parking tickets - but swiftly resolved by Dylan in a professional manner.
Really nice place to eat and drink. Lovely atmosphere and a nice group of folks in there when we visited. Carvery meal we had was superb. Roast potatoes were to die for! Looking forward to visiting again when we are next in the area. Mustn't forget to say, the staff were also nice and welcoming.Food: 5/5

We haven't visited the Crosspool Tavern for a Sunday carvery for a very long time and we wasn't disappointed. The carvery food was very good and value for money. The service was excellent and a big shout out to Louise who looked after us so well, going over and above for our elderly mum to make her feel special. We will be back.Food: 4/5
amazing place for some good food, the drinks were very appealing on the eyes and tasted just as good as they looked, would definitely recommend again and Dylan, the big boss took great care of us and the cleanliness of our table was great. Went here today because I fancied a carvary. I have a few allergies too. Dillon & Alisha were lovely. They went above and beyond to cater for my needs. They listened and took on board what I said. Dillon even made sure the veg was cooked fresh so they weren't contaminated, which I thought was really kind and considerate. I will definitely be coming back here. I felt at ease and didn't worry too much about what I was eating. You guys gave a good service. 17.1.24 Came in with partner with a 50% off main menu offer, we decided to order something from the main menu instead of the carvery for a change, wish I'd not, it took half an hour for the food to come out and the pub was not very busy at all, my partner ordered a pizza which looked very nice and fresh to be fair, she requested no jalapeños which they did, she said it was was nice, I ordered The Hot porker burger, this was not nice at all, didn't look nice, it reminded me of those cheap tinned burgers, didn't even look like a real mince beef burger see pics and you'll understand I also wanted mine as standard with everything on but because my partner ordered no jalapeños, my "burger" also came without these, menu states it should be "drenched in nacho cheese sauce", it was not, was lucky if it had 3 tablespoons of nacho sauce on it. I also ordered the mozzarella pin wheels which turned up burnt underneath and didn't have much mozzarella in these, unfortunately I didn't get a photo of these the young guy that served and brought our food out was very polite and apologetic, after 3 attempts with the food and only once was it ok, I'm not sure if I'll be back anytime soon. 27.9.23... Had a 50% off voucher so thought id give it another try, ordered a large carvery, food this time was a lot better, didn't try the turkey or pigs, so I can't comment but everything else was much better. 5.7.23... Came in with my partner for a carvery, nice and polite staff, paid extra for all trimmings. The beef gravy, potato and leek mash, Yorkshires and stuffing were very nice, the beef was the best of the meats, the gammon was also nice but a little dry, the turkey was very dry and unable to swallow without the gravy, the pigs in blankets were burnt which was annoying as I'd paid extra for these, roasties were old and dry, I was told more was coming out but had about 15 mins to wait for these, I ended up having a few old ones and after finishing my dinner I went back up for fresh ones which still took another few minutes of waiting to come out, didn't try the peas because they were dry and shrivelled up. I think less but more frequently food should be put out.
Food was lovely! Our server Louise was amazing!! So helpful and so kind towards myself and the residents who came today.l from a care home in Sheffield. She was smiley and cheerful which brought a calming and happy environment! Great service given and would definitely come back! Thankyou Louise xxFood: 5/5
